Squealing Noise

Anyone what this noise is? I’m not sure what exactly it is so I’m putting it in the V6 section.

It happens at ~25mph and above and sounds like it’s coming from the front right inside of the car, like behind the steering column. Doesn’t happen when it’s hot outside but does happen when it’s cold and/or wet. It doesn’t have to be very cold for it to happen. It squeaks more the faster the car is going and it happens less the more the car is driven in a day.

Video should be attached to this post with the noise when I’m on the highway.

Hi KITT87, That sounds very much like an air leak I had until I replaced my door seals. My car would make the exact same sound, only when wet and only when going above 60 or so MPH. I think the air was leaking at that big block of rubber at the top front of the door. I haven't heard it since I replaced the complete door seal set.

Like these? I’ve replaced my window weatherstrips (same noise before and after)
but not the ones around the bottom of the door

Yes, exactly those seals ( I used Classic Industries and they fit fine)

Sweet! I got the OER weatherstrips from classic industries and was pretty disappointed with the fit and quality but I’m glad these ones are better. Looks like they’re “arriving soon” though so I might have to try to find them sold elsewhere if they’re not back in stock anytime soon. As usual, thanks for helping me with my greenhorn questions!

Re: Squealing Noise

Coming back to update in case someone finds this through the search: it was actually the seemingly infamous speedometer cable squeal. Greasing didn’t fix it and I wanted to replace the old two-piece style cable so new cable is on (pioneer, chose it since it’s longer) and the problem sound is gone.
