No i'm not crazy and yes i have a good reason for wanting to do this. I currently have an 86 Trans am. The stock 305 motor is shot. I also have an 89 firebird. This one just needs a new fuel pump. My question is what would i need to buy to move the engine and trans from the v6 into the trans am? I know i'll hear about how its easier to just buy another 305 and so on but there's more to it. Has anyone here done it?

 

It's going to be the exact opposite of going from a v6 to a v8, which has been talked about to death on this forum I'm sure.
