UD pullies dont do squat. The tranny you mentioned could work if you were to get a harness to allow it to function properly (shift)
Dont qoute me but I think if you have a 92 it should be an 4l60E.

Keepyour current one and get it rebuilt strong and proper.
IF it works now, leave it and run it, until it dies.
It's better in the long run, more time to sort out any other glitch about the swap.
Pullies. I hear ya on wanting more HP.
Do the swap first, get it secured (it has taken me under a year to get any bugs worked out).
Just drive it an enjoy it.
Do I believ in pullies, I guess they work as advertisied. I do not use them, nor have (except provided by GM in my rides from the factory)
Will you win races with my thoughts?
I guess I'm boring now. I want to go to the races and be able to drive home under my own power, not a tow truck.
All my swap really does is provide a financial inexpensive alternative to making your car run again.
BUT outta that swap effort, you get a stronger running ride. For the effort, dollars to HP gain, you win in every way you can look at the end result, your car running again, cheap.
IF you want a race car, do not compromise by making it a street car, also.
Go full out racecar.
