You've got to splice some extra wire for the IAC sensor to reach. Also, you need to find some type of pipe to fill the gap between the snorkel and the flex-hose. This space is normally taken by the MAF sensor but your car doesn't have a MAF sensor.

Finding somthing to fill the void ware the MAF used to be is kinda hard. I pulled the old flexable hose off the car I got the dual snorkle from and cut it to size, but I also had to use a 3" rubber thingy I found in the plumbing section at the hardware store.

So basicly end up with dual snorkle then the cut flexable hose slips into it. Then the 3" rubber thingy slips over the both flexable hoses. Not the pretiest, but it doesn't look like a mad women's **** either.

I got real lucky and used buy it now for 8 bucks!! I would say anything under 25 bucks is a good deal on these on ebay. Or you might find one at a junkyard. Here's a tip, watch the ones for the v6, they are about the same thing as the ones for tpi (v8's). So not a lot of people will bid on them. Good luck! Oh, welcome to the board! :lala:

hey elevario, just got your email

what you will need to do, is exactly what dan (calicamaro) said.........................you need to pull off your old air box, screw on the new baseplate (where the filters are laid onto) and then put on the top that looks like a delta...........................but first.........if its not done already.....................cut out the sections right BENEATH where the filters are laid.............this opening will produce a mild ram-air effect (sounds really cool too)

then, you will need to either buy or fabricate a pipe that can run from the delta shaped housing to where your current intake pipe is.........you need to do this because our 3.1's do not have a MAF to occupy that space................

also you will need to splice and solder the IAT sensor wire longer so it will fit into the hole which is further away

hope i was of help

The scrap yard should only charge you $9 for one. Usaly cheaper then e-bay, and you don't have to hope no one out bids you.

I had bouth the front end intake lik you want and the CAI i like the CAI allot better. if you put your hand on the snorkle intake after driving and feel how hot it gets because it sits on top of the radiator the air wont be as dence as the CAI.
