I wanted to appologize to Dan and 6cylbird .Im sorry for the way I acted .It was un-called for .I know you , Dan and 6clybird have lost respect for me along with me others in this forum .Im not really a mean nasty person , as I seem to be .Something you guys dont know about me , I have a.d.d .This medication Im on , I blow up once in awhile like that .And when I do , I dont even wanna be around myself . I just wanna run in my room , turn the light out , get in the closet and shut the door lol ...No Im not that bad ! ..lol .My point is , I dont like myself when I act like that .I've felt like $hit for a couple of days sence this happed .
Dan , I know there was no pun , intended "for me" I had just gotten back home from my cousins house and he was telling me how a civic would beat my car .He has not even rode in my car sence I have gotten the new engine and modded it ! So I was already a little hot under the coller . Im sorry guys .

 

I believe you. You have been nothing but a help to me since I have been on the boards. Everyone is allowed their occasional Irrational moments.

I have them more than I should, and tend to get myslef in a little trouble on the Appearance board, oh well, whats life without a little bit of spice.

Ironically I was ADD as well. I got into cars to get over it. I was bored out of my mind in school, cars got and kept my attention.

When I was living in woodbridge VA(I was like 10?) I was on my way to vetrans park one summer day to go to the water slide and I heard the thundering of a roundy round engine. I was then on a mission to find the source. I found the garage and hung out there all summer and helped around the shop even. it WAS SO COOL. Been into cars ever sense. Even got to go for a ride in it. By the end of that summer I could tell my mom what was wrong with her car and even tell her how to fix it!. Too bad I have not seen her in many a year now. (and yes the smiley is intended) We parted ways when I was 15.

heh, my story is similar

i was at the seaside, NJ boardwalk in July when i was 12..................every year its a tradition to raffle off a brand new corvette.......................when i saw it, i fell in love............i went out and bought a model just like it..........starting reading about cars and now here i am in school becoming a mechanic

 

heh ,....Look at you man ! you have a cobra now ! I like the mustang cobras and gt's. Something about the stance of a V6 I don't like ...You been hangin in there ok man ?

 

Im having my ups and downs. I was kinda pushed into the Cobra thing. I wanted one but my dad thought I should sell all and take out a loan and get what I really wanted so I did. I woulda got a 2001 but they have piston slap and I heard the 2003 is a over rated 2001 so I stuck with 99. I love the DOHC it gets some good gas mileage! Anyways the main reason I got this was cause my dad thought it would take my mind off what was bothering me. Didn't work. But Im hanging in there ok I guess. I plan on making the Cobra a show car. Its not going to be a wild ride. Gears, full Saleen body kit, Roush side exhaust, Full exhaust, and a Turbocharger and I am done mainly. I did manage to wax a Fox body GT's *** the other day and I had to show a F-150 who was boss today. LOL he asked for it. I love having the snakes on the sides too. I rolled up to a light next to a guy in a 94-98 GT today with a big *** tach on the dash. He looked over at me then looked to see if I was a GT "oh **** its a Cobra!" Yea he granny left from that light. Well I guess my damage is done here for a while I guess I will pop my head in every now and then to see if I can help. Good luck with the V6's guys! :hail:

I should apologize also. I know how much you guys love your cars, V6 or V8. I love mine too. I was particularly pissed off at my engine last week because it was giving me fits and I couldn't solve any problems........basically disgusted with the 60 degree V6. But I've got it running better now so i'm not pissed anymore.

Ah , Ive forgot about it Dan ...Mine hasn't been running its best lately either .I've needed to change my injectors sence I have ordered them .I want to do it on a day when its not cold outside ,I dont have school in the next few days and I don't have school on my mind .I dont wanna be in a rush when I do it .Anyway , I didn't know you were a tech ? Karl , is that how you passed smog with your 3.4 ? Just got Dan to do it , shh don't tell anybody ...J/K Glad your not mad at me !

 

Nah, I didn't smog his car. But i did get him a great deal on a Delco fuel pump.

I won't be liscenced to do smog inspections for a while. It's extremely laborious to get a smog cert. The government doesn't want shady people in the smog biz so they make it a big pain in the a$$. I do run them on the dyno and inspect them but my co-worker signs the certificate.

Oh, and replacing those injectors should be pretty easy. I pulled my upper plenum last week to run some tests and it was easier than expected.
