Big junkyard score

Well I got a power steering box form an '84 Firebird in my local u-pull it Saturday.

I also used the unusual location to propose to my Fiance.
Yep, I reached in my coveralls and pulled it out (the ring) and she was needless to say HAPPY, SUPRISED, and did I mention ELATED!

Hey, she may have suspected something at a fancy dinner.

Just to let everybody know I took care of business FIRST and got the part out of the car, much easier due to the engine being out.

Anyway KED85,

I took your advice (well, I pretty much decided on it already)

She's smart, fun, beutiful, and she hands me tools in the junkyard.

You are more than welcome KED, I had forwarded the post when I mentioned I had a girl who told me to have enough left over to get a transmission after buyinr the engagement ring, and you advised "MARRY HER"

Anyhow, I had forwarded her that post. She thinks you're cool.
A couple of the other guys however "have issues" she laughed after reading their replies.

And yes, Azure.....shes hot.

Congratulations. Why can't I find a girl that hands me wrenches? Or better yet, if anyone watched the Daytona 500, that Jeremy Mayfield commercial where the girl was using car wax as hair gel and 93 octane as perfume.

My Wife & I had a discussion last night, so it was "rough" for me.
Stinks, when things are outta your control and you've done what ya could.
And must await on faith.
Remember that.
PS I'm still mad at her, but... I still love her.
Love her enough to still let her drive my Firebird while I keep her/My Son's 68 Camaro off road.
For brake swap and subframe work.
Patience stinks. Yet I was patient enough to await a heart to beat for us.

To all those others awaiting a heart, go find Derek And The Dominos, play that album LOUD.
PS it contains "Layla" among a jillion others superb tracks.

Hah! Congrats, Eric! Are you more nervous "after" the proposal than "before"?

My girlfriend turns a wrench every now and then... http://www.geocities.com/tomp_3rdgen !
