Now that I added my injectors mine somes on every once in a while while slowing down. I figure I need to rip off the EGR and clean it real good. Oh and replace the MAP sensor vacuum line... LOL

My EGR valve is going out.
I like that it comes on & goes off.
Let's me know the system works.
Especially when I switch over to the gauge package shortly.
That will be a good quick test.

Uh, pull the code, and fix the problem!

I could see someone ignoring the problem if they knew what it was (ex: EGR, MAT), but if you don't know the code, how can you ignore it??

Well then don't pay $70, do it your self. Grab a paper clip and read the tech ariticle (can be found by looking around the main thirdgen page) and get the codes for the price of a paper clip.

Even the 82-92 Haynes tells you how to do this. You can't tell how serious it is until you check the code(s)!
