Car Update
In an older post, I removed my air can and put the sensor inside the filter, bolting the filter down. Figured I'd update you guys on that.. HOLY SH*T. That car got fast. All it needed was some air. It smoothed out and pulls harder across the entire powerband, especially in the torque peak. I had to clean the inside of my throttle body today though cause I noticed the car got real rough. I found small particles of dust and sand..and a water stain too. I have no idea how water could've gotten inside. I've never left the system open so water could get inside somehow..it's been sealed tight. No clue there.. But I bough throttle body cleaner, cleaned the sucker up, and it smoothed right out. HOPEFULLY, again, I'm going to run a 1/4 or too. With this and a few other things I've learned, I can pull a 16.8. I know it. I can feel it. By the way..all you guys short on cash, I recommend doing the air filter thing. Buy a K&N, and remove the air can and unscrew the sensor. Hook the sensor up and slip ti inside the filter, then put the lid on and bolt the filter down. Be careful it's lined up so the filter doesn't go over the side (no cracks).. And duct-tape the little hole next to where the bolt goes into..I just discovered it as one source of dirty air getting in. Just be prepared to clean your throttle body out weekly.. [Preventitive maintenance] Hey, for my information.. What kind of 1/4 miles are you guys running? Modified, and stock?

Good to hear you like your mod.
As for times there is not a lot of people here who know there times. Mine is probably 30-45 seconds...lol. No but it would be high 17's.
Good luck at the track and tell us your times when you get back in.

Sorry I forgot to credit ya, cam hunt... I had the feeling I was forgetting something.
Ingenius idea..really. Problem is..I keep worrying about whether it's sealed 100% or not. I got real worried today cause my car started running real rough, like when my T.B. got dirtied...and I just cleaned it yesterday with some throttle body/intake cleaner...but checked it out, as smooth as a baby's butt. Ran fine after I popped it open and put the thing back on, naturally. The car just wanted to make me look dumb, leaning over the engine bay, grease on my hands, scratching my head. I dunno what kind of 1/4 mile I'll pull..but I'm sure it'll be pretty good. I dunno why, even with that car in sh*t condition, it still seems to run very fast for an auto. I did a 1>2>Drive 0-60 before that mod, and with no drag racing launch, and my stopwatch read like 9.65. And I hit the start button as soon as my foot hit the pedal, and hit the stop as soon as I hit 60. I was surprised as hell. Even assuming I fudged it a little, let's say it's a 10.2. Still fast for an auto right? I've heard of bangshifts that can't pull that. Too bad I'm selling her... Anyone interested??
