it's a sad day for 87_Camaro

I figured you guys would want to hear about this also since my root derived from this section of the forums.

Last night when I got off of work I walked to my camaro to leave and to my amazment, my Camaro was gone!!

MY CAMARO GOT STOLEN FOR THE SECOND TIME!!

This is friggin rediculouse, My first Camaro gets stolen, so I get another one only to have that one get stolen less than3 months after I get it and only 2 days since I made my final payment on the car.

Well I'm not all that mad about it right now, but I know it will set in soon. I guess all I can do is sit and wait to get a call from the cop's saying they found it and its un-drivable conddition like the other one. Unless of course it's already in Mexico..

But I have to think positive about this.

On a lighter note, did you know that stolen Camaro = Totaled = settelment money = my new IROC-Z

BAH!!

Some peoples luck.
Stupid thieves. you spent your time and money to earn it.
They spent there time jacking off in a corner, then decided hey I need a set of Wheels. Stupid people.

To bad about the car. I can't beleive it. Maybe you should hot wire the door handle so when the guy goes to steal it he gets a shock. jokin.

Anyways good luck on the Iroc keep us old sixers informed.

Geez, dude, did you have an alarm on that? Time to get one! And if you did have one, it's time to get a better one. Maybe one with a pager, so you know it's being stolen. Or, they have a system out where you can dial your car from any phone, put in a code, and do random things... like put the windows up, put the stereo on, kill the engine so any theif driving the car is stopped in their tracks, etc. Hell, buy one of those boots that prevents the car from being driven/towed... it clamps over the entire wheel (lugnuts and all), and has a bar that locks around the wheel.

Think too about getting a Grant steering wheel; then you can buy Grant's kit that lets you remove the steering wheel when you leave the car.

You could also add extra kill switches in the car... one to nuke the power to the computer, one to stop power to the fuel pump fuse, etc.

Sorry to hear about the theft!! I hope it all works out for ya. What did you have in/on the car that makes it such a target??

thanks guys,

TomP:

To tell you the truth, nothing lol.

my car was still butt bone stock, I didn't even get a chance to start modding it! it was so stock that it still had the factory radio " I wasn't planning on taking it out either since it made the car look extra special ." no window tint, and nappy SC rally rims on it. It's an 84 but a damn good looking one in excelent condition, I know what your gonna say, " if you don't have window tint did you have anything that stuck out inside the car?" Other then the flawless interior no, they probably stole it for parts.

I didn't have an alarm, and I didn't have the club, I wanted to break the little white thing in the shifter like on our V6's lol, that way I could take it out when I wanted and they can't get it out of park. I knew it should have been more careful.

I have a set of GFX from an 87 IROC-Z ready to be put on my car also , there sitting smack dab in my room.

well I guess I was asking for it.

next car...
Make a panel with nails with the flat end cut off. Mount them in a box that is wired to a pressure switch on the drivers seat(mounted UNDER the dirvers seat). Then have a CO2 bottle hooked to the box. And of course a kill switch. You have to disengauge the kill switch otherwise when you sit down... your gonna be hurtin....

Dude that's freakin bullcrap!! Where do you work, I'll be sure to stay away from there! Just joking dude. Someone tried to steal my car a long time ago and couldn't get it started because of VATS.They were some amateur thiefs but they did their damage. Now I can only have hi beams if I plug them in. They made it so my brights are always on when I turn on my lights and my steering wheel doesn't lock. Thiefs are the lowest scum on this world. Gosh, well on your iroc you might be getting, make sure you get an alarm like tomp said and get a starter or fuel injector kill switch. Sorry to hear about your luck man, maybe you'll get that firebird formula now!!

It is kinda lame but have some sticker made up for the windows and door at your local sing shop. It will not cost very much.

now most thieves know about the fake alarm sign in your front yard and some do it with cars, but If you have lowjack stickers in sight.
no one is going to steal it unless they know you and you told them the stickers were fake. They will move on to another car.

This is why we have lo-jack! On your next car, get it installed. It really will help out.
