<- permanent grin on my face.
got the new o ring, the rtv didnt hold, blame the damn spectre brand thermostat housings. Terrell will be posting in about an hour or so a nice video clip we did of it firing up and idling, a few quick revs. I thank all of you so much for your support in my threads to get this thing alive. It sounds very good. and hopefully terrell's video shows it too.
before i go out and drive it, their is a few minor issues i need to address to make it streetable. should have it all done monday (my day off) then i can enjoy it all day.

Awesome!
What do you have to do from here to break it in? Has that been done already?

not much breaking in to do since its al hydraulic. i let it idle for a bit, i need to get it out and drive it now to use the engine to pull and brake to set those rings best.

Congrats Travis. Sounds fuc*ing awesome! I love the cam sound, the spintech even sounds good. I am working Monday (today), bring that thing by when you get a chance and give me a ride. I want to hear her in person. Can't wait to see what she does at the track.
As for what he did to make it not start, who the hel* knows. I was on the phone with him and my brother the other day for hours. We were having him go through wiring diagrams to figure it out. We never could figure it out, only thing we knew for sure was he was getting no rpm signal which is why his injectors would not fire. Then Travis took all the wiring apart and started fresh from scratch, after hooking everything back up it started.

I struggled 3 days on a tune up of an Austin Healy Sprite with positive ground. It just wouldn't fire.
I finaly figured out that what I thought was a non needed spacer was a must have a non cunductive washer between the points and the base of the distributor. Dert der der

i know thats why i need an aftermarket shifter, to prevent that overshifting. doesn't happen too often though.
