Okay...hope not to many of you guys bash me. BUt I got new wheels. I've had enough with the 17 in TTII's...which will probably be up forsale soon. What do you guys think? 18's up front, 20's in the back

Because of the size, I had to go with a thinner rear tire. So...it's looks pretty rediculous from the rear...that's why I didn't post pictures. It seems they take good and bad pictures....depending on the angle. It definently helps have it lowered with the sportlines.
I'll definently have to get used to these style of wheels. I don't have insurance on the car yet....but I'll get some more pictures up when I do. Comments are appreciated

I liked your car w/ the TTII's and I like your car with the chrome Irocs.
All in all I just really like your car. But the Iroc's look good.

I think those wheels look awesome on your car. but it really doesnt matter what we think, it is still all about you liking what you have done.

Re: New wheels are installed, pictures inside
thats one of the major reasons why i dont wanna get a set of those..... the width of them is fairly small for sum reason... i want to at least be able to get 275 on those but i think the rim width is only 8 inches or sumtin like dat...............but overall those wheels look friggin hotttt and i think the sexyness of those bad boys makes up for the lack of width
ohh and nice car

They do not look bad at all so i hope no one takes that from my opinion. Just think that how much you've done to your car and all the small little mods deserves a set of custom rims. Though for the price which im sure came into consideration you really cant compare to billet wheels.

Re: New wheels are installed, pictures inside
Pretty much my opinion on everything. I did like the TT2s more even though yes everyone has them at any car show you go to. Dont get me wrong the Irocs still look great and sharp but just doesnt really fit. Even though they are aftermarket chrome and 18s i really dont like seeing 85-87 wheels on a 91-92. Your car i guess what im saying deserves something more classy. Some billet wheels that most dont have or something with a dish.

Amen to that. I really do love the looks of the TTII's....it gave the car a more "muscle" look I guess. The IROC's give the car a little more updated look....being so much bigger....and more of a straighter design. I was going to get a set of custom billet wheels....but I really don't want to for out about $3500 at the moment. I got these fairly cheap. I wasn't sure the 20's in the back would fit....but they do with no problem. The plan is to run these for awhile..then I probably will eventually get a set of custom billet wheels. I just thought it was time for some bigger wheels...at a pretty affordable price. Nothing wrong with trying something new right?

You should post up a side shot, It's kind of hard to tell what the 18/20 combo actually looks like from those pics, and I am kind of curious.

Re: New wheels are installed, pictures inside
IMHO, TTII's over IROCs...and I'm more of the "look stock, carry more power" thought. I like my GTA wheels, and will NEVER change them, except for some bigger diameter crosslace wheels, and that's only for the wider width I could get. Like a 305/315.
And, 17s max, 18s if NO choice, NEVER 19, 20s, or bigger.
To get what I want, I might hafta go 18s, but I would only do 18s, because of no choice in the matter. Probably stick with my 16" crosslace wheels.
But, as long as YOU like them it's your car. Not everybody likes the same thing.

i really wouldn't have ever thought I would have went with this style of wheel. But what got my attention was the blue Camaro with the 18/20 combo. I thought it looked really good. I agree that the stock IROC wheels look crappy on a 91-92 style car....but 18+....don't look near as bad. I'm not a big fan of the chrome myself, it would have been better if they were polished aluminum or something similar. Like I said, I'll run these for awhile...see how I like'em...and probably go with something else later down the road. I really wanted a 19/20 combo...but they were available

I like the old rims...those are too tall and to narrow. I personally dont like them much bigger then 17s they are the perfect size. Some 8s up front and 9.5s out back would be perfect.

I def. loved your car with the TTII but I have to say, from what I can see, those Irocs don't look to bad. Too bad they dont make them with some kind of deep dish, or jsut a little lip. Like posted above, do you have a side shot?

Re: New wheels are installed, pictures inside
thanks for the comments guys. I knew that some would like the wheels...and some wouldn't, that doesn't suprise me at all. Like I said...with the staggered 18's and 20's....it looks good at some angles...and it looks kinda weird at different angles. I don't have any side shots yet, but I will post pictures when I get some. Also, installing the 20's required no modifications. You can probably put just about and size (as far as diameter) in the back...width is where modifications would have to be done. If the wheels were about 3 inches wider...I would be much happier.

Personally, I don't think a third-gen should have a bigger than 16" wheel. The only exception : Ronal's.

Man I really love your car, but I don't like the new set up. Like Stevo said your car deserves better. I would have never guessed that I would see your car with 20" chrome irocs. Get you some custom billets with a graphite painted centers, and huge polished lips!!

the rear tucks really good for a 20". I personally would paint the recessed lines black on the rims to give them some contrast. I too, like the majority, would like to see more pictures.
So how narrow are the rear tires, 255's on a 8" rim?

Re: New wheels are installed, pictures inside
For now, I'm sticking with these. I wish a wheel company made the 91-92 style wheels, in a larger diamter. I was looking for more of a stock looking wheel, just bigger. These are almost more of a "trial" setup...to see if I would like a larger wheel than a 17...and I definently do. Like I said before, I wish the rear wheels were about 3 inches wider. The tire size is 245/35/20...very thin for such a large wheel, I realize that. But with a 20 inch wheel, not custom built wheel, and for the price, I didn't have much of a choice. Some people like the old school look..and some people like the new age look with bigger wheels and slammed...I happen to be one of those people. Eventually I can almost guarentee that I'll get a set of BOZE or something similar.

i think they look good..irocs always just suit the camaros...but it woulda been nice to see a custom wheel more then just another rim alot of camaros use..but all in all still look sweet..

donk? okay
anyhow, I got the wheels through customwheelsmarket out of california. I paid $1299.00 shipped to my door. I'm really not out much money. That's why these are more of a trial...for the size and style. Now, if I were to spend $3000.00 on a set of custom billet wheels....and I ended up not liking them...that would hurt pretty bad. And like Camaroguy18 said...a custom billet wheel would have looked the best..obviously, but I think these suit the car a little better than the TTII's.

If only they made 91-92 z28 rims in 17s+ they would be on my car. Some 17x10 17x9 setup would make me the happiest camper in the world. Just not enough demand.

I've actually just put them in a trader magazine here in central indiana, which doesn't come out will this friday. I put $1200.00 on them...and I can work with that price. I don't think they even have 500 miles on them. I really dont want to mess with shipping...at this point. If I don't sell them locally...I may end up shipping them if a member wants to buy them...and pay for shipping costs.
