Re: Tires?
What are you looking to do with your car? If your just looking to drive it everyday, the best tire is one that's going to last you awhile. Do you drive it in the snow?

Best for the money?

hands down.
now "The Best" tire is going to require a little more information as those tires usually get very specific with thier application. (I.E. Drag Radial, Snow Tire, etc)

Re: Tires?
The ones I want will be mainly for everyday including snow I already have mess around tires and two slicks for drag but theyre all older and bit dry rotted so for future referance if I wanted drag tires and then say street racing and then everyday so that would be 3 sets.. right?

Re: Tires?
I worked at firestone. Let me tell you, if you can talk them down a little, Fuzion Zri's are the way to go. The are a nice directional tread pattern with big enough blocks for traction, but good wet traction too. Also, they have a diesel sidewall (always a bitch to mount).
On the other hand, I would personally stay away from the Hri's. I have seen so many cars come in where the HRi's have gone bad prematurely. They are a cheaper tire, so even though they carry the Fuzion logo, they suck. THe sidewalls are still stiffer than most touring tires, but the tread always seems to scallop. This leads to a vibration in the seat and the steering wheel. They also wear very unevenly. I have seen 2 cases of the HRi where the belts were letting go inside, and there will be big diagional crest's and troughs.
Also, firestone sells them to compete against the chinese tires e.g. nankang, nexen, ect.

Re: Tires?
I would suggest BFGoodrich KDWS tire which has great dry, wet & snow traction. Now i just found out today that BFG has a new tire coming out called the GForce Super Sport A/S which is supposed to have the same great traction for snow also but is an All season tire. If i get more info on the Super Sport A/S i will let you know.

Re: Tires?
Plus 1 for the KDW's, outstanding summer tire. The wet traction is fair, and I wouldn't dare drive this car in the snow...

I'm due for some new tires now and am considering the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Re: Tires?
I have been running the Toyo T1R's. No complaints, very nice dry and wet traction. Bit pricey, but I have them on 18's. On stock wheels they are probably competitive with other companies pricewise.
