need help finding affordable 15x 10 wheels (5.5" BS)

i have been searching for a few days now for wheels for my 85 IROC. i cant seem to find 15x10 wheels w/ 5.5" BS for under $230 a piece. i know that i am being a little on the cheap side here, but i dont have a ton of extra $$$ that i want to allocate for new wheels. i would rather save some $$$ on rims and get my spray kit.

Re: need help finding affordable 15x 10 wheels (5.5" BS)

dont feel stupid, i enter "15x10" in a summit search and came up with nothing as well, but i knew better and started the search from scratch with "wheels" and worked up to 15x10 and got more results

as for the wheels, dont just buy something because its cheap enough, buy something you like and will be happy with down the road, even if it does mean putting off the spray for a little loonger. and like i already mentioned, look at 6" of bs too

I have Centerline clones on my truck because I like the look but didn't want the look on the car. Prostars on the rear of the car and Draglite's on the front. I got a deal on the Prostars or I would have had Draglite's on all 4 but now that I have them, I like the look of the Prostars and wish I had a set for the front.

As mentioned above, pick something you like not what's the cheapest. With the hundreds of different styles, you're bound to find something.

i actually found one i really liked... http://store.summitracing.com/partde...SUM-521-5162PS
they are the summit star wheels.

i am thinking of going for a set of Mickey Thompson E.T. Streets for them. any thoughs on sizes? 26 x 10?

those are the rims i am considering.

first link is the Summit Star 15 x 10's

second are the Centerline 15 x 10's

here is a question though. the summit wheels are 1 piece and the centerline are 2 piece.

which is better (1 or 2 piece) and for what reason?

i was told that the 2 piece were better, but they have a smaller load rating, which doesnt make sense to me [even though i am well below both weights].

the tires are the MT ET streets which are 28" diameter with a 13 inch tread width.

how do you think that combo will work?

With a little extra work you can fit a 6'' back spacing and the look is much better in my opinion.

define a little extra work... i dont want to do any hammering or anything and dont want any chance of rubbing.

Well you would have to do some hammering and the lower control arms will need to be tubalar. You are going to need to do the hammering even with the 5.5 back spacing and you will need to roll the upper lip also.
