I was looking for these for now 7 month... They finally get installed last friday, with Potenza tires... It give exactly the look that i wanted but I didnt try it yet! Here in canada we have about 1feet or 2 of snow :P Waiting one month or two before starting up the beast again and take the road!

Fronts are OEM 18x8.5 with 245/40/18
Rears are OEM 19x10 with 285/35/19

Went with a 2" spacer on the front & no issues, they turn lock to lock without hitting anything -

Used a 2.25" spacer in the rear, it doesn't rub, but it's too close for comfort for my likings, I should have gone with a 2.5" - I'm going to pick up some 1/2 spacers today or tomorrow, should solve all the issues.

Haven't driven in yet, except in and out of the garage - this 305 is wikked tired, and I don't trust it, even around the block. Hopefully it will be coming out by next weekend, and I can start the 350 conversion part of the project.

Yea, I think they would look killer, looking at a 17 front 18 rear setup with them in either the black or gunmetal. My car is going into paint next month so I won't be able to doing anything about wheels until after that's done though

 

God damn! It's almost a twin to my car.

I am running 18x9.5 wheels all around, I have minor rubbing on the inner fender in the front at full lock, I'm also running 2" spacers all around. Should I try 2.25 spacers in the front or will that push my wheel too close to the fender lip for when I lower the car?
Also I was running 2" rear spacers with 18x9.5 wheels and now I am swapping in a rear end from a 02 Camaro. What size spacers should I run now? I was thinking 1/2" on each side. I want to pull off the 245/40/18 tires I have and put on 275/35/18 tires on the back

 

If you go to your local auto parts store, buy a couple .25" shims for the front wheels, that way if they do push out too far, you can take them off. Shouldn't be an issue though as my friend had a 3" drop with 17x9.5s and 2.25" spacers on front.

Spacers won't be necessary on the back with the 4th gen rear, but I have seen some people put some shims in to get the wheels to meet dead even with the fenders.

I just baught these off a guy for 400. Tires have like 35-45% left. I guess their the Alcoa ones based on the stamp.

Based on what everyones said so far. I'm thinking 2.25" spacer up front, 2" spacer in the back. Although I saw someone had what LOOKED like same style wheel with 2.5" up front.

I wish I could have seen these in real life, just couldn't bring my self to buy em sight unseen. You really should mention those scratches though man, they didn't look terrible but If I had bought them and you didn't say anything I woulda been pretty bummed. And I thought you sold the spacers? That partially influenced my decision not to pick them up.

 

has anyone ever polished a set of these?i wonder how hard it would be to make them chrome like?

Just got my wheels on my car I use to inch spacers for the front and 2 and a half inch spacers on the rear everyone said it would not rub they were wrong.

I had to use the old oem spacer in addition to my 2 and a half inch spacers and the 1 side still slightly almost rubs.. if I had to do it over again I would have used 2 and 3 quarter inch spacers

 

Here is a picture of the wheels installed... next I will be installing my new black top.. then hopefully my new interior will show up

i picked up some 17x8.5 y2ks today.i was thinking of getting 1.75 inch spacers for the front since i will be adding lsi brakes which has a 5/16 thick rotor.i saw where someone said still use a 2 inch spacer.i really don't want to buy the spacers twice.any opinions on this?

 

Get the 1.75" spacers, if you need more you can add a .25" shim.

I personally am running 2" spacers on the front with a .25" shim with my 18x8.5 C6s, but I have stock brakes.

 

Yea, a lip would be nice but I think these will be good. Honesty haven't seen anyone else on here with them yet. 17x8.5 and 18x9.5. Looking to run 245s in the front and 285s in the rear

Why on earth woudl you want to do that? Competition Gray is one of the best wheel colors around...

Besides they're painted that color. You're not gonna polish that paint into chrome. You'd have to strip the paint off of them. They already have chrome versions of those wheels.

 

because i like chrome and polished aluminum is hot.aircraft remover would remove that nasty paint.lol
