alignment
what are the different alignment specs between an 89 Iroc and a regular 89 camaro? I brought mine to the shop for an alignment, and after the alignment, there is a very distinct shake/shimmy over 45 mph. This is a project car, and i am still not sure if it is an original Iroc or a good imitation. I know that the specs for front end alignment are different between the Irocs and the rest of the camaros during that time, and mine was aligned to the regular camaro, not an iroc specs. THanks for your help.

i dont think there are different specs, i think the shop messed up or you have worn out parts somewhere. did the car shimmy before?

Re: alignment
According to Chilton's, there's no difference 87-92. For the sake of info, there is a difference 82-86 for the Z28.

Re: alignment
well no, the car never had a shimmy before yesterday when i got it aligned. And the printout that the shop gave me said on the top (which was computer generated by the shop):
"Cheverolet: Camaro: 1987-92: All Models except (1987-90) IROC-Z & (1987) Z28"
That is verbatim what the sheet says which lead me to believe that there may be different specs for a regular 89 and an 89 IROC.
I might take it back to the shop today and report my problem to see what they can do. Thanks for the help guys.

If the car has a shimmy in it, its most likely a wheel balance/tire issue or a worn out bushing somewhere in the front suspension. Unless the shop forgot to tighten something. I had 7/10 lugnuts on my front tires loosen up once and it made for a real good shimmy in the front end till I tightened them back up.

Re: alignment
Here at work I asked my co-workers about this and they tell me is from the balencing of the wheels that would make your car shake.
