What are some wide 15" tires for our car?
What are some wide 15" tires for our car?
I'm looking for some tires that can handle my rough teen driving aka fast and hard turns. And still be able to drive somewhat safe in the rain.
Any recommendations?

Not much selection in 15's anymore. Going with a P235/60R15 is about the safest bet. Firestone Offers the Firehawk Indy 500 which is a good all around choice and very good in wet.
Going much wider will either require spacers or different offset wheels.
Most of the 15's on the market don't carry the higher speed ratings, at least in a size that will look good on a 3rd gen. Therefore you won't get the kind of handling that a set of 16's or bigger will get you.
Good Luck!

May want to step up to a 16 inch rim and you would have more options, plus Taturbo is a tire dealer and could get you a good deal on tires. Great guy too!

I don't push my car as hard as some. All in all I really enjoy the tires I have. Hankook Performance all season and Cooper Cobra GT all season tires. A nice grip with decent tire wear. Ill be buying another set when these go.

ronusmcmma, I like the old school look with the AR's and nice stance... but do you think that picture could have been any bigger???
If you're talking about factory wheels, then I really like 235/60 on the front (with a 1/4" spacer to get them just right) and 255/60 on the back. 275/60's will fit with a little hammering in the front of the wheel well, but they're getting really tall and wide for the rim/car, only really work for the dragstrip. 275/50's fit fine, but again, are wide for the wheel and tend to look short with something stock height in the front, swap the fronts with 225/60's and they look better.
With aftermarket wheels you could get some BIG tires under the car with the right offset wheel. 275/50 is probably the biggest practical size on the front (and you'll probably end up having to get drag radials to get a decent tire in that size), and something with a section width of 295, and 28 or 29" tall is about the max you can run in the back without making big changes.

What size are your WHEELS? Can't just throw any sized tire on any wheel.
