Well back on topic and so that you get at least one decent answer:
The rims look great man, Nice find. If thats your daily driver then strongly recommend one set of winter tires and one set of summer tires.

Far as the tires go I have not tried them. Last used was a set of hancook ventus v4s and before that was some dunlops that came with the car.
I like the v4s (pepboys) but the dunlops always had bad traction.

Go on google and type in:
Kumho Escta XS+reviews
There are plenty of sites out there that review tires and if you dig hard enough you may find a third gen review. If not look for cars like mustangs, vettes, maybe a viper. Thats what I did and it worked for me

Re: New Rims

You got a good deal for 100 bucks. I paid 600 with decent tires for mine(the gta ones I have on my bird now).

Thanks, I drive it in the summer everyday, but in the winter it sits.

The only bad thing about buy these is that a few months ago i put some new T/A's which were about 450 bucks w/ M&B.

So what i might do is sell the tires and go get some used tires for the RS wheels and drop those on for when it sits in the winter and get some "Ultra High-Performance" tires for the summer.
The only bad is i know 215s on a 8in tire is pushing it especially with a heavier motor up front. i think 225s would help

I found 215/45's and 265/45's for under 600 shipped from tirerack

Good buy. I love my falken ziex ze-502s. I put them on halfway through summer and love them. Real good tread, good wear as well. I'd look into those if I were you

Thanks for the help i looked at them and i think im gonna go with the 512s
instead. Discount Tire has 225/55 for 89 each and 255/60s for 120 each.

When I put them on I am gonna need to restrain myself from burning em up lol

Re: New Rims

Oh wow that's a sick deal. My mom is a materials manager and somehow got me the 502s for $523 cnd installed at the tire warehouse. But i'll never go back there, they placed their hydraulic lift arm under my driver side ground effect and lifted it. Luckily when my car was in the body shop getting the fender fixed the painted the whole car and when they took the gfx off it popped out, a little bit.
Good luck with the rubber, I know the urge to burn em, but think of the $500 youre burning =)

Re: New Rims

that sucks about the gfx, I still have my rs 5 spokes on the car because its freezin out the 16in's are in the garage the good thing is when i get the 600 buck this summer ill just pop my rs's back on and but the 16s on when there finished.

but Sunday i might get my car out supposedly its gonna be 56 here, and all the rain we got earlier wash all the salt and sh*t off the roads.

Re: New Rims

That really does suck. When he's gone you should park yours in the garage and take the spark plug wires off, hopefully he's not a smart guy and you say in the summer i'll fix it =)

Re: New Rims

HAHAHA ya he seems lame. I meant take your plug wires off so it doesnt start and just say you dont know whats wrong with it and youll fix it in the summer, that way you wont have to move it. How old are you?
