the rims i want come in a set for a 4thgen camaro/ firebird they are front 18x8.5 with a 46mm offset / and the rears are 19x9.5 56mm offset. i want 18" all around and i don't think 9.5" would fit with out modifications to the wells. so i can order the ones i want individually

well, 9.5 will fit the front with an 18" wheel, its quite common really. However, a narrower wheel and tire upfront wont be as much of a handful on lousy roads.
and the 9.5 will fit the rears without much drama, maybe some hammering in teh front of the well, but probably not.
