Wheel Adapter issue - need help ASAP!

I'm posting this issue on both the brake and wheel board because i need some input quickly.

I just placed an order with motorsporttech.com for wheel spacers. I'm in the process of doing the c4 HD swap. I'm using 1LE Hubs, and 4th gen wheels 17x9-50mm offset.

I ordered 35mm wheel adapters that are hub centric to the car and hub centric from the wheel to the adapter. Taking the rotor thickness and 1LE offset into consideration adds up to 15 mm. thats why i went with 35mm adapters. Looking at the hubs tonight i realized that the snout is taller than the adapter and rotor height combined. there is a very slight taper to the hubs as you move away from the wheel mounting flange. Has anyone gotten a hubcentric to the wheel adapter in this 35mm thickness? is it possible or do i need to give up on that and go lug centric? I may be able to turn down the snout on the hub. has anyone done that? If anyone has these i would apreciate a picture and your input.
