Will these fit ??
Just bought an 83 Berlineta for a project. I searched the site and found a link to Car Craft. It said for 82 to 92 to use 15x8 with 4-1/2-inch back-spacing front and rear. Use tires with an aspect ratio of 55 or less with a section width of 255.
I have a set picked out for the proper look I want. They are 15x8, but I wanted to run a 255/60R15 on all four, not a 50 series.
Are they right or too cautious? Will the 255 60 clear on all four? I don't mind trimming the wheel wells a little to get them to fit.
I'm driving it for now so I need tires on it quick and would like to get the project wheels and tires and go ahead and get them installed.
I just checked. It has 195/75 R 14's on it now with a lot of space in the fenders. The fronts look like they might get tight at the bottom. I bet my combo will fit, but I'd like to get your opinions or know someone that has run the wheels and tires I want to use.

a 8" wheel is good with 4.5" of BS
as for the aspect ratio, the 60 is getting kinda tall for the front and will defiantly rub at 27" tall, probably work on the back no problem though
for the front, dont use anything much larger than 25.7-26" in diameter

If you haven't lowered it at all, a 245/60R15 is fine up front on a 15x8 with 4.5" bs, I've done it, almost no hammering required. If it's lowered, use a 235/60R15. I've done that also, on the same wheels.
