Re: What the correct PSI

The magic number for the Nexen N3000's seems to be 41psi for the best tire footprint and performance. I'd personally run them with no more than 35psi for a little extra cushion, especially being a 35 series tire.

Re: What the correct PSI

I typically fill on all tires 33 front and 32 Rear for better grip.. whether it's fact or fiction, dunno... but haven't had any problems thus far...

Re: What the correct PSI

You want to run 15% or so below max pressure. Take whatever is on the tire and multiply by .85

Re: What the correct PSI

Never heard that one ^ before. No logic behind that which I can think of that relates to proper inflation relative to the vehicle.

There is a chart on the door by the latch(or in the vicinity depending upon which specific vehicle) that lists pressures for the stock size, and that shouldn't vary inless you have an odd situation such as the OP may have.

The max psi listed on the tire is for the maximum load rating on the tire. If you are loading the tire to it's max weight with one of these cars you need a different tire or are asking for trouble.

30-35psi is normal for a passenger car. If you have the wrong size tire for the wheel, or have clearance issues, adjust accordingly.
