Tires and Rims...Need Opinion!

Hi, Im planning on getting these Cragar V5 Rims
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3655812/

I was wondering if anyone has them on their bird or if they are even compatible (im sure they are)...

Then Im wrapping some BFGoodrich Tires on them to top off the look.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-45185/

I need opinions of these tires and rims and ANY FEEDBACK is APPRECIATED!

Thanks!

Re: Tires and Rims...Need Opinion!

the tires you have there are 28" tall, good for the back, not the front, stick with 25.7 or so in the front.

the wheels should be closer to a 0 offset, or 4.5" of BS, those listed only have 3.75 or so and will probably stick out of the wheel wells.

ok, those tires were meant for the back (i didnt post front tires cuz their the same just smaller) and my tires already stick out of my wells .... u think the rims would go good with my color? or at least look good?

thats entirely up to you and your taste. IMHO, all black wheels dont look good, they need something to break up all the black, a chrome lip or something like that.

i was thinking of doing a red pinstripe on the inside...i saw a cool video on how to do them and it would look pretty good. to me, though, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to find a good looking rim...i dont even know if there are any sites left i havent checked...summit is the best and they dont even have a good selection

i know what you mean, i looked for years before i found a set i liked for my 86. Seems like most wheels you find are "vette" style wheels, and everybody and their brother has them. Most other options are 2 and 3 pc aluminum wheels and they get pricey really fast.

black center 3rd gen cross lace wheels look really good and are not terribly expensive.

Re: Tires and Rims...Need Opinion!

Correct me if I'm wrong but we need 5x4.75(120.7). Those are 5x4.5 so they wouldn't even bolt on.

Re: Tires and Rims...Need Opinion!

Don't do what I did and buy 3.75 bs wheel for the rear . I'm running a 295/50/r15 and a 3.75bs in the rear and its right on the edge of the wheel well. I had to run special adjustable shocks to keep them from rubbing/hitting.As stated earlier in this thread the 275/60r15 is 28" tall with it also being a wide tire(a 11in. section width) wide you have chosen will hit. You could get away with 255s on 3.75s. but that's the widest tire you can run on that wheel with out rubbing/hitting .Its your car so do what you want, but I would go with that wheel in at least a 4.5 bs.

Re: Tires and Rims...Need Opinion!

I'm running 8x15 rear wheels with 255/60r15 tires and 7x15 front wheels with 235/60r15s tires. That combination works for me.
