I vote neither. Paint them orange to match or just the lip to match.

One of the best features of these wheels is they do not require spacers!

Fronts are 18x8.5 with 13mm offset
rear. Are 18x9.5 with 15mm offset.
Fits without spacers. But front will not fit over the center hub, had to have front wheels machinemd for clearence.
Wheels are for a BMW and have the 5x120 bolt pattern, which some say in not a good idea to run on our cars.

They are stern hyermesh II

I hope that they are forged wheels as boring out a center hub can destroy the integrity of a wheel. You will need a center cap for the fronts also as the GM hub sticks out inches more than BMW.

They are not forged . I am not sure what sort of process was used to enlarge the hub. I am aware of the cap need. I am swapping to c5 brakes so those set the wheel oug a little more as well.

explain this theory? just curios, since i see no way properly machining the inner hub larger can hurt? Obviously going to far is bad, or opening the hole with an ax and making sharp edges that will become stress risers, but just enough to make them fit and preferably be hub centric can be bad can it?

Re: Can't afford tires yet so I had the wheels photoshopped

Hard to explain buy it wasn't even machined all the way through, most of the hub hole was large enough, but the was a step towards the outer side of the wheel that made the hoke smaller and allowed the center cap to snap on. The wheel, this had to be machined out, probably 1/2" of material on a a total thickness of about 2 1/2" of wheel hub thickness.
I will try and get some pics up at some point.

Not soon enough! haha

The new rubber has been stacked up in the garage waiting for the wheels. Right now I am in week 6 of the order....Driver's said it would be probably 8 weeks when I ordered them...I'll be happy if they get here before mid December.

Theory is that a cast wheel is strongest when it is at the dimensions made when it is at the factory; cutting material can reduce the integrity of the hub mounting area and cause cracks that will lead to failure. If you are talking taking a file to scrape a little bit of paint, that would be fine, some wheels can't take an extra mm of bore before they start to fail, others can go 1/4" and be fine.

And yes any wheel failure is going to be catastrophic, so check your wheels all the time for cracks around the hub area.

Dude I'm really excited to see how these wheels are gonna look man. I'm craving a change with my car, and I keep leaning to wheels, when stepping up to LSx is really what needs to happen. I'll live through your wheel purchase haha!

OK.... back to completely safe machined wheels

Re: Can't afford tires yet so I had the wheels photoshopped

This is the exact same problem I have if I want to put my rear wheels on the front of my car to have 10.5" all the way around the car. I have 18x9" on the front of my car with a 1.25" spacer. Without the spacer, to fit the 18x10.5" wheels i would need to do this machining.

Is there a member who could lend their Photoshop skills for other members who have no clue how too.
It would be great if I could have something matched up,... I have no idea if this is easy or hard to do.
