wheel specs
hows it going. as of right now im trying to find a newer set of rims. i like my 17's, but i dont want to run the 2" adapters anymore. so heres my questions. 1. rear rims, whats the widest i can run with a 3rd gen rear end? 2. rear rims, how much of a lip (deep dish) can i get [ rim will sit flush with the fender ]?
i want a really agressive look, and i think having a deep dished rear wheel with a front wheel with less of a deep dished wheel will set it off right.
any help is much needed,

Re: wheel specs
thats not a simple question, there are millions of wheels and the design of the wheel will dictate the lip, its not usually an option to just ask for x amount of lip with my wheel please.
17x11 will fit the rear, 6.5 to 7" of bs work, more is better, but will reguire some metal work.
to avoid spacers you will need a 4th gen rear, or a custom 3pc wheel from a place like ccw, hre, bose, ect. it will get pricy

Re: wheel specs
The cheapest, and best way, would be to get a 98+ rear end. Better brakes, better "posi", less mileage/wear, etc.

Re: wheel specs
if you want a big lip, you need the narrower rear axle. If you are doing anything close to a "minitub", you better be using something more than a 11" wheel since like i said before, that will fit with minor work. unless you are using really tall drag slicks or radials, in which case the tub would be more for height
