help please.. fitment issues..

I think i did this backwards..

I actually came up on a great deal..

I purchased a set of Drifz Venoms
they are 5x112 and 5x120 (according to the internet)
Hub bore - 74.1
Offset - 35

Do I do as I would for 4th gen wheels..?

Re: help please.. fitment issues..

i assume the offset is positive? without the width, i cant tellyou much more, but you will most likely need spacers to fit them. the width of the spacers has a lot to do with the width and the final BS of the wheel. So dont just run out and buy 2" spacers.

I hope you can actually find the dual lug pattern adapters (Chevy pattern to those patterns) that you will need to run those wheels.

I'm wondering if you will have to have them custom made.....

Re: help please.. fitment issues..

the 5x120 will "work" by some peoples standards (not mine) with the 5x4.75 chevy pattern.

im sure the correct adapters can be had, and would be the ideal solution. Probably custom order, but worth the effort indeed

Re: help please.. fitment issues..

How do I determine the thickness of the adapter needed..?
I examined the wheels yesterday and they read as follows..
18x8.5 front 5x112/120 (dual bolt pattern) 35mm
18x9.5 rear - 35mm

I dont understand how to do the math for this..

Re: help please.. fitment issues..

Get a tape measure and a strait edge, and start measuring where you want the wheel/tire to sit, and measure the mounting surface of the wheel and hub.

Re: help please.. fitment issues..

If you have the wheels, jack up the car, take a wheel off, lower the car back.to.stock.height, place the new wheel in the wheel.well where you want it and measure back to the hub

There are ways to figure it out using the maths, but sometimes its easier to use your eyes and a tapemeasure. That way you can see what's really happening and how.parts interact.
