Fender rub - Anyone want to trade their ROH ZS 8.5" for my 9.5"?
Fender rub - Anyone want to trade their ROH ZS 8.5" for my 9.5"?
I'm running ROH ZS 9.5" all four corners with Kumho Ecsta SPT 245/45 front and 255/45 rear. Rubbing quite a bit when wheel is turned on the fender corners. Thinking of dropping the fronts to 235/45 but I wonder if that's too narrow for the 9.5". Anyone think they'll mount up OK?
I'd consider swapping if someone has 8.5" but mine are painted the same color as C5 magnesium wheels. BTW, The color works well on any dark colored car.
Also have the right rear hitting the top of the wheel well even with nobody in back. Probably could use some new shocks.

hmmm,..I thought the 9.5" ROH ZS was made to fit the 4th Gen, and the 8.5" for the 3rd.
Can a tender massage with a hammer fix your issues?.

The ZS did come in 8.5 and 9.5 for third-gen offset. I really wanted 8.5 but bidded and won a set on ebay not realizing they were 9.5. I also have a Baer brake kit and suspect it pushes the wheels out a little bit further than stock. Thought about a little impact adjustment but don't know if I can really get much clearance since behind the plastic inner fender is the ground effects. If I go 8.5 in front I'm pretty sure 235/45 will clear and seat properly on the wheel.

Those wheels should fit fine with maybe a little rubbing at full lock. If they are hitting the wheel openings, they don't have the proper offset, possibly caused by the baer kit. Its possible the 8.5" wheels won't work either because of the kit. As for the rear, if the wheels are hitting the top of the wheels well, you either have taller that stock tires and a worn out suspension, or just a worn out suspension.

I have six ZS wheels, two 8.5s and four 9.5s all with 3rd gen offset. I had them bead blasted and then painted them flat black. I have C5 brakes with 1/4" spacers and rolled fenders and they don't rub with the 9.5s on all four. I wouldn't mind having two more 9.5s if you want to trade. I'm in So Cal. Let me know.

They are for a third gen which is -7 mm offset for front and back. If you have 1LE front brakes, the front and rear track width will be exactly the same. If you have stock Camaro or Corvette C5 front brakes, the front track width will be about .5" less than the rear if you use the same wheels on all four. I have C5 front brakes and use .25" spacers to make the track width the same front to back with the same wheels on all four.

I just saw you have Baer brakes. You can put the same wheels on all four and measure your track width to see if they are close to stock or 1LE.

I thought there was a different offset front/rear but I guess not. Any curb rash on the 8.5s? I think I have a just a slight scrape on one but shouldn't be a problem if they're getting painted. As stated, mine are painted the C5 magnesium wheel color. I'm leaving town for a couple weeks so if you're still intersted we can pick this back up come end of October.
