Trying to decide what size tires to put on my new 18 inch chrome irocs from AR. If they were your rims what tires would you use? Looking for help in getting the right stance. The car is an 84 camaro

wow...81 views and nobody has an opinion on tires? I am going to go with 255/45R18 in the rear and 245/45R18 in the front.

 

Assuming those are 8" wide rims, the sizes you mentioned will fit the wheels fine but will be taller than stock by over 1". This will make your speedometer off as well as possibly give you trouble with your front tire fitting in the wheel well while turning. All defeatable issues, just depends how much work you want to do. I would recomment a 40 series tire for no issues.

 

Yes they are 8" wide rims. I see a lot of guys running 245/40R18's on all four corners and they do look good. Was wanting the back tires to be a bit beefier...if that makes any sense. The place that I am ordering my rims and tires from do not carry 255/40R18 which is what I would like on the rears. They do however carry a boat load of 245/40R18's
so maybe I will just jump on board and order them and be done with it. Thanks

 

I get it. I'm just telling you some potential issues. You want this to be a bolt on or a bigger project? 245/40/18's will be great.
