Need help with backspacing new wheels on 4th gen rear
I just installed a 97 rear into my 86 sport coupe a few weeks ago. I new it was going to stick out 2 inches more on each side, and im ok with that for now. Currently im running stock gta crosslaces. Just had to roll the top of the wheel wells, as i was getting some scrape going through dips.
Right now i want to get a set of weld pro stars 15x8 , with 275/60/15's micky thompson drag radials. Im just having a hard time figuring out what would be the best backspacing to get the tires back inside the wheel wells with the 4th gen rear. Ive been searching but i cannot find a definitive answer. Some say 5.5, and others say 6.5.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
I basically want the tires to fit inside the wheel wells like a stock 3rd gen rear.
