I'm thinking about getting some black rims for my '88 IROC, but i'm not sure which ones i want or what else is really out there, let alone what they look like on our cars. I've tried looking at other threads about it, but they seem to all end with more arguments than rims pics. So please, if you have black rims, post what they look like (Prefferably on the car, but off will work too), and what kind they are, and keep the bickering to a minimum please. Thanks in advance!

Thanks its been alot of work pass 8+ months
but plan too race it when lsx swap complete
i blew 700r4 then swap a t56
sold t56 to get ls1/auto couldnt pass the deal up
so what turned out to be a trans swap bloosmed into this
im almost complete soon enough goal is 400hp
trying to get it ready for the coranado speedfest during fleet week and the goodguys they have some track events that i would like to attend and some drag events locally
im almost complete lol and well defiantly drive it, its my daily driver believe it or not and its being build to drive lol

 

Brother that is so cool! These things excel on road courses and autocross. With all that punch go for handling. That car will be a rock star!

Keep in mind that you could paint or powdercoat any wheel black. So just think of design & not limit yourself to what the manufacturers have decided to offer in black. If you really like a certain wheel but it isn't offered in black, then "fix" that yourself with paint or powdercoat.

 

remember that you can also use plastidip and remove it if you don like it. just peels off. you can also use glossifier to make th plastidip shinny. I just did my GTA golds. I can post when they are dry and on car. next weekend. the current ones are 16"formula rims powder coated

They fit really well actually....nothing sticks out, I have it lowered about 1.5 and no rubs ever.

it comes right off...
