It's just so dang confusing.
It's just so dang confusing.
Ok I own two very nice 3rd gen Fbody Z/28's. the first is an 87. It has the stock suspension under it. I plan to swap lt1 backing plates and calipers from the drums on the rear. I'm looking at 15x9 rears and 15x8 fronts Weld RTS wheels. I want them to sit perfect or just barely behind the fender/quarter rolls. The 92 looking at 17x9.5 and 17x11 and looking for the same stance. Can someone give me definitive answers as to what I should go with as far as backspacing? Going with medium pad RTS's so I can upgrade brakes later if so desired. Please don't flame me I did a search but the answers are not coming. At the very least link any known threads to help me and I will go research from there. As always any help is much appreciated. Thank you. Dale.

4.5 front and 5.25 rear will work well.
