help me choose!

Hey everyone, Ive been searching for a set of wheels for my '84 sports coupe. I really wanted the Boze Force wheels, but the price was too much. I then found a set of American Racing wheels that were similar. Still too expensive. I then found two options that were similar, Ultra wheels and Rev wheels. They are closer to my price range. I just need help deciding which way to go. Thoughts?

Re: help me choose!

I guess I should give some specs. Both wheels are 17" x 8", the Ultra wheel Muscle Knight has 4.75" b.s. with 5mm offset. The Rev 106 has 4.5" b.s. with 0mm offset. Tire size will likely be 255/40/17 fronts and 275/40/17 rears. Here are the Boze and the American racing wheels. Very nice but pricey.

Re: help me choose!

I also found these for a really reasonable price here in Canada so no duty fees! I kinda like them too. B/G wheels gasser.

Not a thirdgen, but you get the idea.

Re: help me choose!

An 8" wheel is too narrow to properly mount a 275 width tire - needs at minimum 9"; preferably 9.5" to work effectively.

Not that there is anything wrong with those wheels, but the tire size to shoot for it going to be 245-45-17; 255-45-17 if you want to be a tad wider.

Re: help me choose!

I would choose the American Racing or the Rev. They look very similar. Both are simple, classic and have a timeless look that won't look old in a few years.
