Proper tire/wheel fitment advice?
Hi this is my 1st thread on this forum so please bare with me. my name is giuseppe i just bought a 1986 iroc z with the original 245/50/16 wheels/tires . i need to get new tires so i will just buy stock size tires for now but i want to get bigger wheels/ tires later. i wanted to know if the american racing torque thrust M antracite size 17x8 bolt pattern 5x120.65mm 0 offset 4.5 backspacing 72.60 bore size 1.1in lip size will go well with a bf goodrich g-force comp 2 A/S 275/40-17 without rubbing suspension parts or hitting the fenders or sticking out of them? i know its a long question but i know i needed to make it detailed other way it would be more confusing to answer LOL. any advise would be much appreciated Thank You !!

The wheel is a bit narrow for that tire. A 9" or 9.5 would be a better fit with 5.25" of backspacing with stock brakes.

Re: Proper tire/wheel fitment advice?
Yes, as mentioned above, the minimum wheel width for a 275-40-17 tire is 9, with 9.5" being optimal.
