US Mags offers their own version of IROC replica wheel

Has anyone seen this yet? I couldn't find any posts about it, but dang am I gonna be in trouble with the wife if these have good fitment to our cars. First their was the long, drawn out 6LE wheel nightmare that many of us got sucked into, then I made a "rebound purchase" of XXR 526 wheels (that I like, but do NOT love), then Hawks announces their IROC replica, but only in 17" at the time. Now I see this deep dish version of an IROC replica from US Mags. Their site says other colors and finishes are available, and I'm thinking a silver, or gunmetal, color with a machined finish would be awesome.
I've sent a request for more information on the wheel specs for the 18x9 and 18x10 wheels, but on their site it says they do not sell directly so all prices have to come from their dealer network. Has anyone priced these anywhere? Google was no help to me.

Re: US Mags offers their own version of IROC replica wheel

That would be crazy, maybe those were a 2 or 3-piece bolted version? I'd expect a high price for that construction, but hoping spun forged might be more palatable to my wallet.
The site says:
"DETAILS
The Iroc DC is a forged o.e. replica and features 6061 T-6 Forged Aluminum, CNC machined centers, welded to 6061 T-6 Spun Forged Aluminum Rims. Standard finish is polished, ask about custom finishes. Bolted 2 or 3 piece construction also available."

Not really, The wheels I want start at like $1,500 or something. Yes it's a lot, but it's not that much for a wheel in reality

Re: US Mags offers their own version of IROC replica wheel

You can tell when you look at all the options for rim diameter and width, it is available in so many different sizes so they will be made to order which drives up the cost. It's unfortunate that they decided to make these at such a high price point. $5000+ for wheels and tires for a car that would be worth $10K-20K is very of-kilter. $1000+ per "replica" wheel (for our cars at this time) is overpriced IMO but unfortunately other companies are also charging that much and people are paying it so that's what it will cost. I will continue to wait for Hawks 18" Firehawk offering and that falls through I might take measures into my own hands.

Re: US Mags offers their own version of IROC replica wheel

Considering that I have a wheel manufacturer who will CNC cut any wheel up to 20" x 13" for any application for $1k or even under a wheel, the pricing getting thrown around for these is entirely too high.

And before I forget, CTW Motorsports wheels are spin forged (flow formed), just that we didn't use CNC milled and welded centers at $1100 a set. I'll bet we would replicate those for $2k a set easy street price based on our experience.

IMO If you’re comfortable spending around $1k per wheel you might as well get something from HRE, Boze or Forgeline. They have wheels that look much better than these ones. Don’t see the point spending this much money for something that looks stock

I also don't like the lip, assuming you like them because they're stock looking. I understand that the proper size for OUR cars may not have that lip, and I understand it's done to standardize the center section with many size options. I just don't like it. .....with proper reprops a quarter of the cost on the horizon, this just seems silly to even consider.

Just trying to put out there what the pricing should be. $2k to $2.5K should be the pricing on these wheels, not $4k to $5k. Like I said, I could have CNC cut billet wheels custom made in just about any style up to 20" and it would run you $4k or so, including the 91 to 92 Z28 wheels.

Butt ugly - sure if you think so? Keep this in mind: we were the first to offer rotary forged (flow formed) wheels that directly fit the 3rd gens and are affordable and fit 14" brakes. Also keep in mind that every single 3rd gen at the 2018 CMC/AI championship was running our wheels. We don't need to pitch anything with that type of publicity, not to mention dozens of people on TGO that run them.

No need to be rude Charlie. At least Paul has brought something to the market for thirdgens, whether you like them or not... and has interest in possibly bringing more!

Some wheels aren't cheap. I have been rebuilding and selling 3 piece wheels for years now, because that's where the money is in wheels. Some people don't care about the value of the car vs the cost of the wheels, you can always remove the wheels and put stock ones back on prior to selling.

You’re right, the money is in good nice wheels. Not knock off wannabe forged wheels that look like every other import $99 special wheel on eBay like the CTW

Wow, you have some real hatred for CTW wheels, while I dont really care for the look i dont think its the worst looking wheel i have seen on a 3rd gen. I do think spending 5 or $6,000 on a set of wheels and tires for a $15,000 car is nuts, but i guess its better than the 24 inch spinners on a $2,000 caprice. To each his own, thats why its your money not mine.

Probably me you saw this from on FB....I order these a couple weeks ago and I'm super excited! They are cutting the wheels Monday.
I just started a new thread in this forum. I went with 18x10 and 18x9s for fronts.
