Spacer question
I have a set of ZR1 style 4th gen SS wheels. Third gen rear (for now). What size spacers should I run? There was an old post that said 2 in, front and back. Is this correct?

Re: Spacer question
The real quick answer is that the spacer will be the difference in offset. I googled the 93-97 16" wheel and it said they are 55mm offset. My 89 Iroc wheels for example are 0mm front and 16mm rear. If I wanted to run that 55mm offset wheel I'd need an adapter 55mm - 0mm = 55mm or about 2" inches in the front. ...and 55mm - 16mm= 39mm or about 1.5" inches in the back. ....or just run 2" all around, and the rear will stick out .5" farther than they do now.
So what you heard is probably right. I'm NOT sure what those SS/ZR1 wheels measure in at. ...and I'm not sure if there are any minor clearance issues anywhere. I've never run 4h gen wheels on my thirdgen. Just trying to point you toward how to figure it up.
Also, spacers are just metal discs with holes for the lugs. Typically less than .5". ....at 2" you're looking at adapters. They'll actually bolt on to your hubs with their own lugnuts, and they'll have their own wheel studs that your new wheels will bolt to.
