Aye, and the Ronal 17" is really close to that. Looks great, one of the best things about those wheels

Now I DO agree with the lip. To me it's part of what makes the R15. ....and it looks a bit smaller on the open center wheel. Assuming it was made on purpose with a little more offset. .....Not sure what the final production plan would be, and either way I'm not in the market, but I like the lip of the closed wheel.....looks more "stock".

All agreed there was demand for the GTA wheel and said they were working on it. None of them has ever done anything.
I'm a big fan of what Bruce and Hawks do, and I'm glad we have them supporting our community. When I need something for my car, I like to go to them first if they have it. I have a few of their parts on my car and they're great!

My comment was about the potential for disconnect between poll respondents and actual buyers. I can tell them my preferences, but I'm not buying 18x10 wheels for my car.

Hawks is a business, and the most ideal scenario would be to poll people who are truly in the market for 18x10 wheels. That's easier said than done, even for big corporations like GM that run focus groups on their new offerings.

Re: Hawks' R15 FINAL Wheel Poll

You know, I see a lot of 15" wheels that get scaled up to 17" and 18" and look funny. To me, the GTA wheel looks perfect scaled up, but the R15 actually looks better to me in 18" than it does in 17"!

I'd be happy with it either way, but I think I like open a little better.

Re: Hawks' R15 FINAL Wheel Poll

The open lug design reminds me of the C5 wagon wheels without those ugly center caps. I still like the open design, but the closed center cap looks better. Kind of curious how the wheels look without the center cap.

Re: Hawks' R15 FINAL Wheel Poll

I vote for the OE closed center caps! Will they come in 18X9.5? If so, count me in as a buyer. I already have the Germany made 17X9.5 and hoping the 5th gen Brembos will fit under them?!? I prefer the Ronal's over the 18X8 Iroc...

When will they be released?
