Hawks Ronal R-15 18x10 Reproduction Poll
Re: Hawks Ronal R-15 18x10 Reproduction Poll
B for sure.
A would look good on our cars but if you make A, you can't call it an R15 reproduction, just call it something else.

A for me but I like the modern look.
If we can buy a 18x10 out the gate without playing with offsets that would be awesome. I was looking at trying a Forgestar F14 setup to try and run 295 on all 4.

Re: Hawks Ronal R-15 18x10 Reproduction Poll
I think the open center really updates the look of the wheel. The imitation center lock center cap was on many different styles of wheel in the 90s and really dates the wheel. Nothing wrong with that if that’s what you’re going for. I would like a set of the open centers for my 92Z to replace the oem wheels that I hate. I wish they would have continued the IROC wheel or some variation for 91-92, it has such a timeless look.

B, but do yourselves a huge favor and redesign the inside of the wheel to allow more brake clearance, the 17" is almost comical how many big brake kits caused problems.

'B'
Hands down, no contest.
I was also wondering how large a brake package it will fit. If it fits C6 Corvette then I'm fine.
And please please please, a little extra backspace! My old Strange 12-bolt needs 1/2 inch more backspace than most people.

Definitely B will attract more of the purists. A looks like a generic aftermarket 5 spoke wheel, without the cap I don’t think anybody will recognize it as a firehawk wheel

B.
Firehawks/Ronals are one of my fav wheels for both third gen camaros and firebirds.

A
Despite the fact that B is clearly leading the poll, I like the updated look.
It also looks like an insert could be made to mimic the look of A on either wheel. Maybe it wouldn't work but it would be the best of both worlds.

B, though maybe make two center inserts one with open lugs one with fateful styling... I've never been a huge fan of the "key hole" on the center cap, would be cool if you could make it so you rotate the hex part and it retracts/extends ears and loose the keyhole.
Now my big question is... when are you going to make Formula wheels or GTAs in 18" vs the 17s you currently sell

B. Love that deep dish. I have 17x 10 rear 2003 Cobra Terminator deep dish repos on a 1994 mustang with 315s on the rear. Totally changed the look of the car. Make these. I'm in the market for new wheels and 18s are a good look and open it up for bigger brakes. Make it happen Hawks.

B. I don't think A would even be recognized as a Ronal wheel.

We just received the 18x10 open center R15 repro prototype here at Hawks Motorsports. We still want to hear more opinions on which you prefer based on >LOOKS<. Here is the open center prototype compared to our 18x10 R15 rep.
