Correct Wheel Lock Key Replacement

Discount Tire recently dismounted and rotated my tires. When they were done, they told me my wheel lock key was wearing out and that I should replace it sooner rather than later.

I’ve been on Amcor Locks’ website and they provide a range of ID numbers that correspond with different keys. Problem is, I’ve looked through all the original documents that came with the car and I can’t find an ID number that matches their website.

Do I have to go to a Chevy dealer for help?

Re: Correct Wheel Lock Key Replacement

I am not certain how the company Amcor Locks operates but I had a similar problem with my McGard locks. McGard asked me to take a digital photo of the wheel lock looking straight on. They matched it to a key and I paid to have two keys made. Maybe Amcor does the same thing.

Amcor also told me to take a picture of the wheel lock and they’d match a key to it. Thing is, they charge $25 for a replacement key and only $32 for a new key with four new locks. Guess which way I’ll go...
