Opinions?

Just bought these used 15" chrome wheels and put some new Cooper cobras on them. Fronts are 235/60r15, rear 245/60r15, I'm going for more of an old muscle look, I'm not a fan of the massive wheels with tiny sidewall.

Any honest opinions on how there's look on our thirdgens?

Also I'm curious what make of wheels these are? I can't find any information on them anywhere but I think they're 9" wide.

Re: Opinions?

They're WHEELS. Wheels have rims. They look good. I agree that the "rubber band" sidewalls look (and ride) ridiculous...

Re: Opinions?

I would have put the wheel weights on the back of the wheel

Re: Opinions?

Thanks for all the feedback!

Agreed I wish the tire shop put the weights on the inside, but I'm guessing that isn't fixable without remounting the tires.

Would love to find some information on what these rims are, previous owner had them on a 77 Trans am.

Edited my first post to say wheels rather than rims

Re: Opinions?

I love when somebody asks for an opinion! I'm not going to **** all over them but they are definitely not my cup of tea, however, they look period correct. You can take that as good or bad depending on what you think of 80's era
aftermarket wheel styling. If that's what you're going for, mission accomplished.

Looks great on the car.

To answer, they simply remove the weights that are on the outside, and then they tape them inside the rim (they don't take the tire off, its the inside of the rim you can see), or they put the weights on the inside lip.

Re: Opinions?

Overall I think it's a great looking car! ....I love the 15" wheel size, though I'll admit I don't particularly love those wheels. If it were me, I'd opt for a factory set of 15" z28 wheels. My personal favorite size is a 16", at least for appearance. I understand the big brake and wider tire argument, but..... If they made a 16x9 wheel and had tires available...man that'd be the way to go.

Couldn't agree more! If I could have any wheel it would be a 16inch iroc style 5 spoke, maybe in chrome. I do have a set of factory 15's but they're my winter tire set.

Thanks for the feedback

Re: Opinions?

My honest 100. Your car looks awesome. I like the earlier Third Gen Camaros more so than the last few years any day. I would put the stock wheels that came on that car. Those wheels do not look good on that car, that's my opinion but if you like them that's what matters most. Not our opinions but since you asked..
