The stitching on the right was a replacement for what came on the seat, the stitching on the left was the tight double top stitch....

For leather I made up a reduction wheel that slows the leg action down to a crawl, once that needle penetrates the leather it better be in the right place or you get a new piece of leather, the holes are forever.
