Opinions on black outs...
Okay, I walk out of the supermarket, and see some jack *** hit my camaro. Cracked a tailight and removed a lot of paint from the bumper. Oh well, its not in spectacular shape anyhow, but I dont like the broken tailight. I was thinking instead of getting a new light, I could just do blackouts. How do blackouts look on a camro, I dont see to many of them with them, if you got pics, feel free to post them, especially on a black car
Also , how much do they run new, and if youve got used ones to get rid of, I may be interested.

black outs
I just got some black outs for the head lights and the tail lights. I got them from napa, they are made by lund. they look great and costed 30 dollars for each set. I got a discount because I work there though.

I too have a cracked Taillight, i just bought some blackouts for the back, i think it looks better smoother, but i would never put them on the front lights....
Oh yeah, i would definatley screw them in to the tail lights too, thats what i did, it'll prevent thieves from stealing them as they walk by, they come off real easy....

Whered you put the screws, I didnt see any (that looks to be the way it should be done). They look good on your car, and I found out who smashed up my light. My father backed it into his plow truck, and decided not to tell me. So tommorow Im going to get a set of black outs and hes paying for them. As for the fronts, as nice as Id think it'd look, its too much of a liability for me to not be able to see far at night as I like to see deer eyes as soon as possible by shining the light from far off.

I am definetly getting black outs, except I have a very large section of paint scraped on the bumper to fix too. I should really wash and wax the car, it gets kind of neglected with major work being currently dont on the firebird. That and the fender I have to bondo because i hit something will get done this week, before I head back to school with the camaro.
82z28, I see youve got the hooker cat back too. Sounds damn good, doesnt it? What kind of motor you got in front it?

the screws are in the top lip of the blackouts where you put the velcro, and it's good that you get them for free. mine are AVS, they took over GTS, but i think Lund are supposed to make the best ones, they come with a piece for the middle, but it's kind of illegal i think...........

Mine come in this morning, I cant wait. Ill get some pics up as soon as I can, but with all the snow and salt around the car will look pretty trashy, and its to cold to wash it. I dont remember what brand I ordered from advance auto parts, as long as they aren't APC theyre going on.
