A bit ****?

Is anybody else very **** about their cars i.e. no food, no drinks, don't touch, and especially no sitting on or leaning against it?

I am and I always get crap about it. I was wondering if any body else is like this. I go as far as to kick peolpe out of my house for sitting on my car after I asked them not to (especially with spiked belts on.)

ya id have to say i fit into that category, no food in the car, the only people who ever lean on my car would be me or one of my mechanic friends but were careful enough not to mess up the paint. omg the worst though once had just pulled into a parking spot, the guy i have in the passenger seat sparks up a ciggarette i yelled WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!? GET OUT OF MY CAR WITH THAT? his dumb assed response being oh sorry man, i swear i almost knocked him out, ahh man it feels good to vent about that =)

Yep that would be me, you probaly would not like to ride with me becuase I don't even like it when people shut my door to hard. Another thing that really ticks me off is that since i have manual locks i have to lean across the seat to unlock it and when I am doing that some people will sit there and play with handle, like they can't see that i have have not unlocked it yet . Though I do allow my self to drink 20. oz. soda's in the car.

P.S. it really does feel good to vent these things

your not alone. i think pretty much everyone here would let someone know, one way or another, not to mess with our rides.

i haven't had to do anything drastic so far. probably cuz my car is in pretty good shape and anyone who sees it should know better than to try and disrespect it.

yeah, I was showing off my car to this guy and he leaned agianst it I pulled him off and said "Don't lean on my car. You'll f*&k up the paint" He looked at me and said "Dude, chill out it's fine." as he sat back against it. I looked at him and screamed "GET THE F$&K OFF MY CAR ASSWIPE" as pulled him off, threw him into a shelf, and punched him in the chest. Then I told him to get out of my house.

That really pissed me off.

I don't allow any eating, drinking, smoking, etc in my car. no horseplay allowed either (don't want someone hitting a piece of plastic and breaking it).

Oh, and I have 1 friend who's been banned from the car for constantly bugging me to add something Knight Rider-esque. No offense, but I'm sick of everyone thinking of the 3rd gen Firebird for just that one thing. So add that to the list of me being **** - no KR comments.

lol i thought i was in the minorty with being **** with my car. the only food that's ever been in it is in a fast food bag and i don't eat or let anyone else eat till we get where we're going. if the food gets cold, oh well. if you have dirty shoes, i keep a paper grocery bag in the back and your shoes go in there. if you're wet? jacket goes in the bag too. never let anyone smoke in the car, or lean against it.

my all-time biggest pet peeve though has to be people getting out of the car and shutting the door by pushing on the window and getting their grubby little fingerprints all over it...it's not that hard to push it at the handle...

Used to be ****... now, I'm fine with eating in it, drinking and possibly if someone leans on it. However, there will never, ever be a lit cigarette in it. I also can't stand people that throw themselves into the seat like they are jumping into a pool. I don't take any rear passengers either.

i am not too bad about people touching stuff. unless its my stereo, or anything around me while im driving. windows are fine, but stereo is a nono. touching.....dont touch my car after i wash it, and DO NOT write on my windows. that is the main thing that pisses me off is when people seea nice big rear window and have to write in it. especially dumb stuff like "wash me" smoking and eating frenchfries are definant nonos. fries just tend to let salt go wherever. and i absolutly hate it when i get the car back from the mechanic and my armrests are cakes with a nice layer of grease. i wish they had the coutisy to put towels on them or something. along with over my front fenders, they always put their greasy hands on them and leave handprints that i have to scrub to get off.

I don't let anyone ride in the back unless it's a very good friend and there's no other way for that friend to get to where ever. No horseplay in or around the car, had the rear driverside cover in the back hatch area broken off by a kid who was stoned. No leaning on the car or sitting on different areas of it unless it's me or close friends who respect my pos. No one drives the car either, only 2 others have since I bought the car. No eating or smoking in the car but drinks are ok if you can hold on to it. Also hate it when people park near you, swing their freakin' door open and not care if they hit something or not. One idiot opened his door right onto the front of my car, didn't even look at it to see if any damage was done which there was. grrrrr wish people would have respect for other peoples' cars.

I forgot about that its been so long since I've let anyone in the car. On my 88 I used to yell at my friends all the time about that. It wasn't the fingerprints I was woried about, but someone pushing too hard and cracking the glass.

the only time anyone has touched my car is when I wetsanded it. Noone drinks, eats, & definently no smoking. I don't even touch my car....and I think everyone around me pretty much know not to also...lol
also, when I do have passengers..which isn't often....my door is always shut by the handle...not by the window or the door itself.

My buddy has a mecury comet that he does not really care about and we use it to catch farts. Well anyway one day me and my buddys were hanging out in my garage helping me with my car and one of them farted on my rear decklid W.T.F. does it look like a ford product to you? I punched him so hard in the face he fell back and shattered the new hatch glass that I got to replace the one on my car! I am not to bad with my car you can smoke in it but only with the window open and no ashes in the car. You can touch my car but only untill it gets painted. No food or drink. No touching the stereo or glass. Basicly if you are not me keep your hands and *** to yourself

My car barely see's humans. It mostly hibernates in the garage. When I do take A (as in singular) passenger, that person already knows not to touch anything before the garage door is even opened.

I really don't give a **** what people think about me being picky about my car. It's my car and I alone have spent thousands on it, not anyone else. So yes, being **** about it is my g0d given right!

okay adding to the list. Some kids i know like to listen to rap....hahaha i have no problem with people touching my stereo, as long as it never leaves the presets on the radio or as long as theyre listening to whatever cd i have in there, i will gladly tell someone to get out of my car if they dont want to listen to my music.

I hate taxing people around in the back seat so much that as of like a day or two ago the back seats and belts were removed no ones ever sitting back there again. (might i add it looks freakin awesome with the seats out so much more sporty looking.

Thats all for now but im sure ill think of more

i am exactly the same way, no food, no drinks, no dirty feet, no dirty clothes. No leaning against, no playing around it, No touching except for handles, i'm all of those, if its **** then i'm ****. But fingerprint oil will make paint not last as long, proven fact. Also without them it makes it look so much better, especially on the inside looking out.

I'm very ****, but I don't care.

No food, no drinks, no smoking, no touching, and when you get out you close the door with the handle, NOT the door or the window. If you wanna cruise with your hand on the pilar, you touch the weatherstripping or interior plastic only. And if the windows are fogged, you DON'T wipe them off- I hate that.

no eating, except for me, because i dont make a mess. drinks are fine. Dirty feet are ok, not hard to vacuum. Dirty clothes nono. SMOKING NO WAY! (my mom rides with me from time to time and gets so made i wont let her smoke in it, but i remind her that me and some others call her car the ashtray on wheels) Go ahead and lean on it, wont hurt nothing. Dont sit on the hood. After its washed, dont touch the paint. Dont mess with my HVAC controls. Go ahead and change the station, but if i dont like it ill change it back.

I like to enjoy my car so I'm **** about it in a different way. You can eat and drink and smoke in it (I do) but if you make a mess in it you better expect to pay. But no leaning or sitting on.

Im pretty darn **** about my car, interior mostly, me and my brother in law sit on the rear end sometimes talking, I let my son sit up there too (he is only 2 and looooves cars ). But my interior, whoah nelly, only I can smoke in my car, I keep my hand out the window at all times when doing it, but man if you got some dirty shoes, or you just plain stink, your walking.

The thing that bothers me the most when I have a passenger, is when someone tries to reach over and touch my radio in MY car without asking, man that pisses me off, had a co-worker do that once, snapped at him pretty bad, he stopped talking to me but, damn, don't mess with a guy's radio.

Glad to see I'm not the only one! My friends used to make fun of me alll the time in high school about it...but I think they understand now occasionally I might let a girl smoke in my car...but only if shes hot! lol one of my friends asked me if it was ok if he farted in my car one time...I thought that was funny. When I lived in an apartment complex last year I used to park in like 3 spots in the back corner....my roomate started parkin the same way so his was caddy corner to mine in his pos 91 Taurus...I thought that was funny too.

the thing that gets me is when people touch the paint when i get done polishing and waxing it........ it leaves oily prints on it. also i HATE when my friends compare their cars to mine, and say mine is slower or looks the same as a early 90s beretta ! (my "friend" thinks his 1990 beretta "GTZ" is way faster than my car, that big SOB)

I know too many "Touchy" people. It pisses me off, and messes things up. I really only drive my car cruising.

i'm the same way (with any car) some people dont know how to act. I mean most of the stuff stated is just common since (which no one has)

P.S. This is one of the reasons why when you see me in my car, there is no one in the passanger seat

I used to be like that, till I realized my car isn't special. As long as people do what ever they do on thier side of the car, I don't care what they do in my car now.

me too

Add me to the list..
I have a good one that pissed me off.. I had to pick up my sister and her friend after school one day, and her friend had all of about 15 keychains hanging off of her backpack... she walked around, opened my door and swung her bag around.. the keychains went right into the rear quarter.. I almost flipped out.. I just wanted to leave her there and let them walk home.. The worst part was that she just said "hey no big deal, it's just a car"

The worst passenger Ive ever had has got to be my girlfriend. Not only does she not wipe off her feet, put her feet on the dash, AND lean on my hood, she has also...

1. unlatched my t-top on a freeway entrance ramp doing 90 (she thought it was an oh-sh*t handle)

2. used my spoiler to bear down on while she wrote a check

3. tried to play naughty on my fresh interior (not that that would normally be a problem, but NO SEX IN MY CAR!!!)

4. offered rides to her broke-*** friends without asking me (what am I a cab driver???)

5. tried to put her cds into my player, while tossing mine in the center console

And the best of them all...

6. BACKED HER MOMS CAR INTO MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and then tried to tell me my car was hard to see , ITS BRIGHT RED!!!)

I used to be real **** about my car too...back when it was 100% stock anyway. Since then I have grown up some, and also had a child. When you see your son playing in your car, and walking on the seats and such.....the last thing on your mind is the damn car!

Oh man this is it! I dont allow even my own father to smoke in my car lol food or drink is a no no and it was with the bird too. I'm still findign gummified fruit loops under the camaro seats form the previous owner. I allow myself a bottle of gatorade on the floor of the back seats for like car shows and stuff. I'll pull into the welding shops parking lot and guys will be talking and lean up against it and its like oohh now you always see the little details liek the knife clipped on their back pocked or a caribeaner with keys hanging off the back thats where i go ape ****. My problem is i'll put in a dip of tobacco and sometimes get it on the floor or console or whatever.. and for one little grain i'll have to vacuum the entire car but i won't let anyone else chew in my car. I'm still trying to learn the art of projecting the spit over the gfx when i open the door. My pet peave is having a clean car and dried up tobacco juice down the gfx.

I am **** about my car. My sister was tapping her wedding ring on the spoiler, and I flipped. I told her not to do it ever again, and to get off and away from the car. She stared at me and did it again. I screamed about every cuss word at her and told her to go tap her own F-ing car, and my dad agreed with me. THat is the only time the nighbors heard me cussing. lol.
:hail: F word...............it shows emotion lol

Dudes, it's a car, not a shrine. I don't put too much work into making my car shine more than the next guy because I really don't give a s*** what the next guy thinks.

It's hard to enjoy your ride when you worry about it being harmed when you take it out in public. I figure I'll fix whatever happens, have a good time and free myself from anxiety.

In my experience, Murphy's Law directly applies to my car....so I generally don't fuss about what goes on in or around my car. If something does happen, I can usually remedy the situation in time.

Otherwise I take it all in stride. Besides, we're all living proof that nothing lasts.
