I would stick with your LO3 now. Learn all you can about TBI and what makes these cars tick. You can start adding mods to your 305 that can be used on the 350 down the road. This includes exhaust, intake and cam. I would also start looking into chip work right away. You will need to learn how to burn your own chips if you want to properly dial in a combo. Take some time to read through the stickies above to get a better glimps of what it takes to modify a TBI car.

Yup
Listen to Shifty ... learn the programming deal
If I hadn't been listening I would have by now have a car with a different intake ... LT1 cam .. and other things .. and it would be running (IF it would even run) like crap
Unless ya go with all carb .,.. learn the programming

Ok, here's what you do.....
Treat Shifty like your parent. Everything he will ever tell you about your TBI motor is in your best interest, even if you don't want to hear it.
Here's what I plan on doing with my 305, you might want to follow my plan too.
I plan on building up my 305 as much as possible.. i'm not looking for impressive, Corvette fighting numbers, but I just want a little extra power. That way you can learn about building motors and how to put things on and take them off, and learn the basics. And then when you know everything you need to know, take out the 305 and put something a little bigger, like a 383 in, and that way you'll know how to build that up too and you wont get frustrated with it because you'll already know everything you need to know.

Yes, shifty hit the nail on the head. Computer work is where it is at, with any FI motor, not just TBI, if you want injection, you need to know how to make the computer do what you need.
BTW, here is the kind of potential you have.
293hp/444tq to the rear wheels,
That is abotu 330hp/490tq at the motor, and there is more in it, I made some more computer changes after that dyno session, to correct the AFR. Probably 30-40 hp more than that run, are doable with more dyno time.

hmmmm
Mine's 125K
Not sure how long they really last ... I do know though some people make 300-400 hp ... with the stock bottom end ... that's one of the nicest things about our engines .. .we can focus on other things than the bottom end

Mine has almost 181k with exhaust and intake the only major mods. These engines are pretty reliable.....I'd stick with your L03 until it goes bad and you NEED to swap it out.
