Weird Electrical problem?

First thing, I noticed my radiator fan is not coming on ... so my temp climbs too high at idle. It's an electric fan on my 92 Camaro RS. How should I go about checking if the fan has died or if it is something more likely like a relay or switch. Where would the relay or switch be? Is there a fuse for the fan inside the car?

The weird thing is that a mechanic friend of mine tried to check the fan but we were unsuccessful (Couldn't get at bottom part of fan without taking it off). We didn't disconnect any wires ... yet when I tried turning on my lights later that evening one of my driving lamps was out! Its a brand new lamp. If I turn my high beams on the driving lamp that is out will come on!? What is going on there?

Please help... getting annoyed with car after temperature problems lately. I just installed a new water pump and heater core.

the relay should be near the brake booster, on the drivers side firewall

Thanks for the reply, I have the wiring diagram for the circuit... and now the location of the relay...

what about that fuse that it lists as Hot-At-All-Times. Where is that fuse?

I checked the fuse in my fusebox under the dash - it is in good shape.

Thanks

thats the one i am pretty sure its talking about. the one in the fuse block.

because at the relay it does have the wire with the battery voltage always hot, because some people use that to have the fan come on when the car is off.

Are the relays by the brake booster, or by the radiator pass side? On my old 86 IROC w/ single fan it was pass side rad, and on my 89 GTA w/ dual fans there is a relay there, and another one like it next to the charcoal cannister, but I dont know if those are the fan relays or for something else. (which I am in the process of checking out also, but dont have an answer yet)
I do notice he has a 92 which would be SD whereas both of mine are/were MAF... would that make a difference?

Oh, and about the lights... If you ever get around to looking at the wiring diagram for the lights, you would probably wonder how they work at all... one of the first things I did with the IROC was rewire the lights, but I havent gotten around to it yet with the GTA, as at least the headlights and turn signals work correctly for now.
