ATTENTION to any one who wants a Strut Tower Brace!!!
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=93488
I forgot to mention this, but Forc Fed Racing, the guy who sold the last remaining Jamex Strut Towers, is trying to see how many people would be interesting in buying a strut Tower similar to the Jamex one.
Go to the link above, and he mentions it on the third page.
He would sell them around the same price to! They went for $20 for the bar and $10 for shipping, though he used UPS which was a bad move...
He apears to be a great guy to do bussiness with, though UPS makes him look bad
Once he has a hundred people say they are interested, he'll start makeing them!
Billy got one and it bolted right in.

But , this isn't going to be easy trying to get 100 people purchasing these . I do hope it happens , it may take a little while though for you guys that do want them .

for those of you who want to know why we need these, go here:
http://www.fbody.com/members/sixtydegree/chassis.html
Yes, thats a 60* Performance Guide, there are a few pages done, but the rest mostly have notes right now. But the chassis page (which this mod falls under) was just completed like five minutes ago.
Please feel free to read the ignition and exhuast pages, becuase those are done, for the most part. All the other pages just have notes of mine.

Hey overclck, I was just wondering why you don't have that insulation on the underside of your hood? Is it bad to do that? Because I really want to take mine off!

I really want one. It will look great with my polished plenum, throttlebody & gun, alternator, and chromed valvecovers.

here is a pic of my rs with a jamex stb, it fits fine on a stock intake but if you put any kind of open elament filter that is bigger then 3" I don't think that it would fit but I am not sure.

The reason for no underhood insulation is it was a new hood (notice it's black) and I didn't want to spend the cash on insulation. It doens't hurt anything
Yes it'll fit on a TPI...in fact, that's what it was made for.....it just happens to fit ours.

I roated the brackets so they were on the front siDe of the hump; but still where it is double thick metal.
I had to do this so the bar would not mess with my ram air. It got the bar so it was level with the pleinum. Still it adds alot to the car. I can really feel it in the sharp hard corners. No more of the squish where you kinda pump the wheel. its strong and just turn sharp with normal input into the wheel.

I am sure there not as good as hotchkis, but hey they don't have the pricetag of hotchkis! They are $30 bucks you can't complain!
They are a single bar two point design where the hotchkis is "weird" looking and has like a webed two bar two point design, its hard to describe, but it would defiantly be stronger, but its expensive and i don't know if it would fit the carb or not!

Again, I am NOT selling these, "Forcefed Racing" is. I emailed him showing this post and how many of you are interested. The link i provided bove shows you the post in the "Aftermarket Product Review" board about these things where he has been posting about these. I qouted him up above and thats the last we heard of him. Here is his last message to the board...

the install/unistall on these are supposed to be like 5 minutes, so easy to work with it in, maybe, but if need to take out, only six bolts to unsrew.
The price is suppose to be AROUND the old price which was $20 for the bar and $10 for shipping, but the details on the new bars have not been stated yet...
Hope that helps Dale..

4 bolts hold the two brackets down and 2 bolts hold the bar to the brackets.
Just remove on bolt and it will pivot up and over, you can have it sticking out the wrong side of the hood as a cloths line of sorts.

One more thing, I am going to be about the same price for the STB we make, the FFR STB bar will look alot like the Jamex bars.
If we change the shape of them it will require more material and thus raise the price so we are staying with the Jamex shape for now.
I will let you all know when I have something ready.

I wonder if they could make one of the dual bars like hotchkis as a second line?? For some reason it looks way more stable, but for 20-30 bux on the single bar, I'm in!!
