looking for pics of roll cage's
I'm in the process of looking to buy a 10pt roll cage and would like to get some pic's and idea's of what company I want to buy from. I like the design of the Kenny Brown 6pt street roll bar and want to get something that fits kinda the same. I do want the halo the 10pt has however. So if anyone has pic's or links to pic's with company brand so fourth. Thanks in advance.

Nice pics. That last one isn't legal if running quicker than 12.0. The door bar is too low.
I have some pics also of my 6 point roll bar on my web site. Of course mine is a race car and doesn't have an interior to worry about.

Does anyone happen to have pics a 6-point roll bar installed in a convertible. Doing some major upgrades and may need a cage once i get them done. I'm just wondering what the bar would look like in the car, installed. Thanks.

I got a question for RUQuick, how come your rear bars extend soo far to the rear of the car. I was told by the chasis guy doing mine that the rear bars should mount as close to the shock mounts as possible.

I was wondering that myself. I'm also under the impression they should be close to the shock mounts. Mine are a little too far back but I installed the roll bar years ago. A new full cage will be installed differently in my car.
My guess would be that with the bars that far back, they'll keep the entire subframe from twisting since they'll attach at the farthest point on the subframe. Just a theory anyway.

Yeah you might be right with a uni-body anyway. Guess it'd be another way like you said to basically "mimic" a full frame. Most the unibosy cars I've seen-drag that is, not a nice daily or toy like RUQuick's, usually have the floors channeled and a "frame" basically built in the car. I'm still having mine put close to the shock mounts just because, he's charging me a whole $150-$200 MAX to install it since I'm buying the kit and gutting it for him, I'd do it myself but I want the rear bars to hug the roof/rear hatch then bend straight down to the shock mount aka hump for the rear end. Plus I want the door bars bend so they're legal, but not a PITA to get in and out like a few cars I've been in. I know it can be done as there was a guy from MN. down here for 1 race with a bird, he had ladder bars, fuel cell, the whole she-bang but a stock interior and the door bars had some funky bends coming to the floor pan area but it looked sweet and entry was almost like there was'nt a door bar in there.

I'm regularly on a few other racing forums. The topic came up about the cost of a roll cage installation. On average you can figure on $100 per point to have a roll bar/cage installed.
Since you're already gutting the car, you can see how much labor is involved to install the bars. The cost of the roll bar/cage is the cheap part.

Here where I'm from, it's like the dirt track racing center of the universe. I think there are more dirt track cars in a 75 mi. radius that there are rabbits-and u know how quickly they reproduce. That's why the installs are so cheap. I talked to another builder and he says he can do it with interior still in the car from scratch for $500-mild steel of course, wish I could afford chrome-moly. But since it's going to the paint shop after the cage I want to gut as much stuff as possible for the better paint job anyway.

OK now i fell like an ***. After going back and reviewing the pic I see RU quick has the x brace which ties into the rear shock mounts
Sorry. Now I can see he went the extra step and ran the other tubes all the way back.
As far as the red camero with the full cage-imagine trying to get in and out of that beast. I'm not looking to go nearly that fast with my ride. I throw a fit whenever I ride shotgun in my buddies Malibu. He's just over 5' and scrawny as hell so he can play monkey pretty easy when he gets in and out of his car especially with the steering wheel. On the passenger side, I'm almost 200lbs and 6' and it's like a cross between the duke boys and jumping a damn hurtle getting in or out of that damn thing. His car though, so he's got what he wants, just not practical by any means. It might not be so bad once the car performs like the way it's set-up. One of those looks waay fast, but doen't move cars right now. Finished the season running 14.3 with a stock 400 and his best was a 12.7 with a stock 454 running on 7 cylinders after the bottom of the lifter sheared off.
