Here's a link to all of the stock calibrations for the gen 6 units. If you can find an old catalog, you can relate the file names of the tunes to a part number/engine platform (ie, 74022L -> LT1...etc).

The # is written on a label on the ecm (like 74022,etc). You're going to want to scale down the base fuel map because of your larger injectors. What size engine do you have, and what is the ecm setup for?

so far nothing has been changed in the ecm that i know of....bu tthe previous owner may have...im new to this so i may sound a lil dumb on the topic. i have the L98 and with the stealth ram i plan on leaning on the bottom and addind some up top since thats how the powerband will be alter from the tpi. if the previous owner had changed some things would that still b ein the ecm? is there away to reset, so to speak, to start off with the factory tune. reason i ask is because accel says car should start and run with this base tune then i could alter from there, but as it stands the car sounds to be not running on all 8 and if gas is applied it bogs and stalls...kinda sucks when yuo spend all this money so late in the season and cant enjoy it ill check the ecm for the does tho thanks fo rthe tip.

Try the 74022A file and see if that gets you close. As said before, you'll probably have to take fuel out of it due to your injector change. Programming the ECU with that file will "reset" it back to the factory calibration for a generic 350 CID small block chevy.

I agree with loading the stock tune. Scale it down by multiplying the whole base map by 92% (22/24) for the difference in injectors.

How did you set the timing? I make a separate timing map that is 6 degrees in all the boxes (be sure and save your old one first). Start the car and get into the timing screen in calmap. There is a little box that displays the actual timing on the screen. If you hold the throttle just off idle, the timing will stabilize and not jump around. Set it, and then load back in the original timing curve.

With both of these, it ought to be close enough to drive it.

alright well i took the numbers from the 350 small block one you guys reccommneded...now porb is where do i insert these numbers? i went to the fuel and ignition and i figures itd have to be one of them but theres too many numbers for either. also another prob now is if we disconnect the timing it will run fine (not great but driveable) but as soon as we reattach it it stalls out and runs like its not on all 8.....i tried setting the timing the way you suggested but same thing....

For starters, save the entire program that's in the ecu now (do it in the global section). Save the new 74022a.all file on a floppy. Go into the calmap directory, then the unvrsl directory. Copy the 74022a.all file here, and then rename it 74022A (get rid of the .all). Start calmap, and hit "edit file". This file should come up as one you can edit. Type it in, and then take a look at the different tables. You should be able to see the base fuel map, timing, etc. If that works, get out of it and hit "edit ecu". You want to load the whole file into your ecu (I think it's under the global directory), and then resize the fuel map to 92%.

How are you disconnecting the timing? Mine won't run at all with the distributor harness to the ecm disconnected. Is this the whole accel unit with engine harness, or the replacement TPI ecm only?

Also, what is the timing reading when disconnected and connected (running crappy)?

Good luck.
