Trans Am GT TOJAN

Anyone know anything more about this RARE TA? I think it looks nice, kinda of different, but nice. I was wondering if anyone had any other pics like in different colors. Also I was wondering if the body really was made of fiberglass and how much one might be worth.

Someone posted a pic of some guy with a girl next to a blue one of those... it was some type of ad...... it had nicer looking wheels though.

I thought it looked like a fiero on steroids in the other pic.... but seeing different views.. man that thing looks like ***.

Jubus that guy is a friggin' toolbag. There is more BS in that ad than you can shake a stick at. Let alone -any- attention to correct spelling or grammar. Not the brightest bulb in the box.

Btw, I am sure the LG4 was designed to compete with the viper. (Let alone the fact the viper started production 10 years after this car was made. )

Why did the guy ruin it by painting the undercarriage white? Probably killed a good chunk of "value" with that move, Lol!

I don't remember an 84 model, I recall reading that the first year for Tojans was '88 they were done out of house (like convertibles) and was meant to be a more exotic model.

i actually have that hatch and the taillights sitting in my gurage. all the toajn is is a company that bought 1500 trans ams with 350's and added the body kit, hatch, wing etc. the engines are the same. although, i thought they were TPI unless someone made that to carb. they were made in 88 i believe, possibly 87. theres a guy who lives around here with one. believe me, that picture helps its appearence a lot... if you've ever driven a notchback 3rdgen, you've already driven a toajn

Damn these are some ugly cars. That first one looks like the wide body kit that ASCD sells, but I thought it was only for camaros.

with a little fiberglass work they can be adapted to firebirds. to stay on topic, Tojans were never sold for 55K, he's out of his mind.

He was "told" the car would rip apart with a more powerful engine...what kinda douchebag is this guy...the structural part of the body is an 84 TA...it would handle a more powerful engine just like any other 82-92 F-body. What kinda is this guy on? It's pretty bad that most of us could look at the pictures and tell this guy more about his car than he just did...other than "it is one of one of 250". So if it is one of one of 250 that makes it ultra Rare!

The evidence:
"GAS POWERED SUPENTION","FACTORY ARROW GO WING", " WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT USE TO BIG OF A MOTOR IT WOULD RIPP THE CAR IN HALF DUE TO THE T TOPS AND LIGHT WEIGHT OF THE FIBER GLASS BODY.", "THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR THIS IS THE REAL MACOY, THE BIG BOY OF GM AS THE HEMI IS FOR CHRYSLER."

The verdict:
TOOL! Seriously, there was no 350 available at all in 1984 and this is absolutely an aftermarket kit car. What a tool.

He lists his phone number too, maybe someone should call him to inform him of just how big of a tool he is.

the tojan had the 350... and it was a firebird....not a camaro. like i said before, it was either 87 or 88 when they made them. this guy has no idea wtf hes talking about with this 84 nonsense. lol the over spray on the trailing arms should give you a clue that hes not all that bright.

Sounds like someone who has no knowledge of cars, but has a lot of money bought that thing under the impression it was cool.

I can't believe 11 people actually bid on this thing. Even more unbelievable is that it's up to 15 grand.

I checked the VIN.

Here are the results for your query on: 1G2AW87H4EN214467
Made in: United States
Manufacturer: General Motors
Make: Pontiac
Restraint System: Manual belts
Carline Series: Trans Am
Body Type: 2 door coupe
Engine Code: 305 ci V8 LG4 (1982-1984)
4 is the CHECK DIGIT.
Model Year: 1984
Assembly Plant: Norwood
Production Sequence: 214467

If it's an 84 w/ a 305 then it is NOT a tojan.

ICK. There is nothing nice about the way that car looks. I think that is simply a car someone bought replica fenders & quarters form and went ape-****. Motion Glass sells everything you see in that photo, albeit now only for Camaros. I love browsing eBay for "rare" cars. I never realized just how many rare cars there are out there.

The one in the add done in black and silver with nice rims looks decent from that angle, it also does not appear to have that horrible wing. Overall they look like crapola, I never liked those fender flare kits, I think everyone was going after the Porsche 944 fender look of that era.

Cars like this and hairstyles like ******s are what make people look back at the 80's with disdain. That was the 80's for you.
