any one order from Year One ?

I was thinking about ordering a rear hatch pull down motor from Year One for $99.95. They used to only have a catalog for 67-81 Firebirds&Camaros but they have come out with a catalog call New Generation. has a lot of cool stuff. I wondered if anyone had ordered from them if they are trustworthy or not.

I used year One and Classic Industries for my 2nd gens. They are both reliable companies, but their prices suck and the shipping is usually overpriced as well.

They are a good source for quality interior parts, but not mechanical parts.

For a hatch pull down, It'd probably be cheaper to order it from a local parts store.

Ordered the ASCD Ram Air hood from them. Hood got here in a week and a half. No complaints.

I have ordered interior items and hard to find things from them and have not had a problem. I think some things are a bit expensive but they do have some cool stuff in their catalog.

... whats up with the hatch motor... usually simply rebuildable.. if its the housing, gear or track slides.. the first two parts are available from GM.. the slides are made in Australia and cost about US$30 for a full set.. simple job... link use explorer not Netscape... [linl]http://www.usgmserviceparts.com[/link] then click on the 82-92 section/hatch parts.
They also have quite a few GTA emblems NOS. Careful of prices its in Australian Dollars which is 2 to one US$ ie US$1 = A$2.
