Year One / Next Generation

I'm considering ordering a few things from www.yearone.com. Direct link to the section for thirdgen's is http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...ain2.asp?cat=G

I was wondering what experiences you guys have had with them? Examples of good/bad service? Shipping problems? Any comments from people regarding orders to the UK would be appreciated.

I did a search but most of the topics are a tad old.

Thanks guys!

I've ordered a number of parts from them, mainly trim pieces, like headliner, washer bottles, but I also ordred a set up SSBC discs, and my LCA's through them. Great service. Only thing is (same as Classic ind.) make sure they've got all the parts in stock, or you could be waiting weeks for a backorder part. A pain if a piece necessary to go with all the bits.

Well, from my experiences with them I would have to say they are all right... They have always sent what I ordered correctly... however, it does seem to take absurdly long. And half the time, they say they have an item in stock but come to find out they later send me letters saying parts are on back-order... Their site is hardly ever updated, but hey, at least they send the right stuff... but I do have one major complaint... They send me offers for discounts... but almost everything on their site is discount exempt... I don't get it. *shrugs* If you want stuff in a hurry, don't buy from them, but if you don't really care if it takes a couple of weeks then order from them cause they will send it... eventually.

I have ordered from them quite a bit and am very satisfied with their products. Always quick and they have come down a little for me on a few things in the passed. You're right about everything being discount exempt though

My dad got black crosslace wheels from them. They came soon nice and shiny. Although a person at a car show said he had lots of problems with ordering the same item. The wheel was scratched(that could be from the shipping company though) and he didn't get the 4 wheels. So he sent em back and didn't bother with them again.

I've ordered the SLP CAI and Accel base manifold from them. Both were supposed to be discount exempt, but the salesman I talked to over the phone gave me the discount anyway. I haven't gotten any discount cards in a while though. And yes, the shipping is SLOWWWWW. Luckily for me both parts were ordered when I didn't really need them right away.

Well I got my order from them.

In summary, their customer advisers were variable. One was very helpful and knowledgeable and the other was not so good - though still pleasant and polite.

They took a day to arrange the shipping quote (international order). Whereas Summit can do it and give you a confirmed price whilst you are still on the phone. However, it was a very competitive quote.

The shipping was impressively quick with prompt emails with the tracker number etc. The products were also well packaged for their trip over the Atlantic ocean!

Very good company and service overall!

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Let's not forget that most of their items are overpriced. If you see something in their catalog that you like, look around a little bit before you buy from them. 9 times out of 10, you will probably find that item cheaper somewhere else.
