oops, thought I was in TPI but they have this same thing for TBI systems, a friend used on on his vortec and supposedly saw gains in hp and mileage
Re: throttle body spacer for tpi
TPI Does stand for tuned port injection, I do believe is question was related to that. Such as in a
throttle body spacer
I have a question about the same thing. I have read all the claims of horsepower and mileage benefit. Would like to know if there's someone out there that has tried it and can give some advice.

Re: throttle body spacer for tpi
nice, mr.gdr. I like that line that runs with the door handle. This might be apples and oranges (probably is) but the spacer (VMAX) made for the L31 vortec trucks (96-98) produces pretty good gains. I bet someone will chime in and respond, but TPI and MPFI vortec truck manifolds are pretty different.
Anyway, it's not that hard to put it on- give it a shot and see what happens. you can always take it off

Almost $100 for garbage?!
Put your money elsewhere. You'll be pissing it away on crap like that.

Re: throttle body spacer for tpi
Haven't used it. Been told by many people in the biz not to (at least not for a tpi).
Carb yes.
I just find it annoying when manufactureres put out a get-rich quick part that makes unreasonable claims in hp gians for a tpi.

Ya, I guess some car shows will promote just about anything if advertisers dangle enough $$ in from of their eyes.
Sorry to hear you already purchased it. Well, I guess it couldn't really do any harm anyways

Re: throttle body spacer for tpi
My dad ran one of these on his 2500hd and picked up about 2 or 3 mpgs, im put just a basic tbi spacer on my car but at the same time i put a fuel pressure regulator on goin from 11.5 to 13.5 psi so the add in fuel pressure kinda counteracted any mpg increase the spacer might of added
